You know, after driving both a 2012 Defender and an original Range Rover, i will never ever want a Defender again. And you too can have that, as the vast majority is getting over 25. Remember that part in the Top Gear Bolivian Trip, where they are on some rough road, and Clarkson smugly cruises, while the other two

Oh. OOHHHHHH. This will come useful, cheers.

I so want an Expand button on that.

You are perfectly right on the W3 series you pictured, in fact i came here to post that. However, the two previous generations are much-much better, with usable boot space fore and aft, and a cabin you can easily fit into under 195cm / 6ft5in

For that kind of cash, you could get a minter original, and another in less-than-mint condition, and build that to suit all your trackday / dorifto / cruise needs while the minter sits in the garage amassing value. You really want a modern Camaro, get a modern Camaro. You want a Trans Am, get a proper Trans Am.

This i would think is a rare example, when the car itself is CP, but the condition makes you think, that as a long-term investment, you could do much worse with your 5k, than this.

I know it was an aside of this article, but i have to comment on the advertisement part. I know ads are different over here, than in the States, but i think there are very few products that are exclusively targeted to older people. Everything else is marketed for young ones, because even the older will want to look

It's not for me, as i would want a 944 to drive, while driving this example here other than at Goodwood would amount to simply lighting up that pile of greenies, but as you said, 944s are slowly starting to gain value, and this should be good for any collection that would want it. Therefore i would say NP, but only

Pro tip: there are tolls in Italy too, so mind your wallet. In fact, there are tolls on the vast majority of European motorways, with the unrestricted German Autobahn a notable exception.

They don't. It's really not a quality choice anymore, much more of preference. Though i guess you know that.

I am full with sweet envy right now. Enjoy the ride guys!

Do. Not. Touch. I repeat. Do. Not. Touch.

The single-clutch robotized gearbox is on the out already, and if you every drove one, be it in a Citroen, or in an Alfa, or in a Ferrari, you know why. But it's still not completely gone, for instance PSA still uses them on some models, so it's not completely gone just yet.. but it will be in a couple of years max.

One thing might back this up: Alfa already has two RWD sports cars in the pipe. The 4C is around the corner already, while it is know that the next Spider will be a sister model to the MX-5. You have to remember, that even though the Spider was the last Alfa to do so, it did turn FWD some 20 years ago, so these two

1. drive 8 hours to get to Budapest

I always liked to look at these, ithink they look good. Never having driven one i only can believe others that its good to drive too. However, it's the horror stories of dear upkeep, that always keep me away from even thinking about them - if people who had several mid mercs are to be believed, the 124 is the least

I would say it's what makes you really fast on road course. Be it touring cars, GT or monoposto, it's all about racing line and being very precise with your inputs. Doesn't look fancy, but insanely hard to get right, especially if you want to win races.

I could care less for the car, but Graverobber, you're a grown man, you surely know, that for $15.000, most Fair ladies will let you take their top off.

I would think private jet pilots have it good. I don't know though.
