I mean, I'm pretty 'meh' about many parts of feminism because they're terrible at what they purport to do, but I don't think you can really pin it on feminism here. These sorts of conferences have always been about two things: networking and money. The fact that this one happened to be woman-themed doesn't really

I'm a little put off that Doll writes, "despite the proliferation of "cohabitation, same-sex marriage, and women who ably bring home the bacon," because what among those things prevents using wife/husband as terms? My gay married friends are husbands, my lesbian married friends are wives, and I bring home the bacon

I just refer to Professor Gothick as my jelly roll.

Guess what? Nobody asked you, you fucking prick. Feel free to jump off that mountain anytime. You should care less about other people's hair.

If it's their senior year and they're graduating it seems like a pretty big achievement, don't you think?

Good for the school for being progressive and inclusive. Shame on the parents for getting pissed. I had a friend who was excluded from her senior year book (and not allowed to cross the stage) because she was pregnant. It still upsets her. She got pregnant, made the choice to have the baby and was punished for it.

I think it's an accomplishment to stay in school as a teen parent and graduate.

This seems to me to be more of a problem with the mother, thinking that a relationship with a 15 year old could ever be consensual. I wonder if she ever even reported it, which certainly could be difficult if she was here illegally, but at least from the reports so far, it sounds more like the mother was angry they

Seems like the mother wasn't too concerned about her daughter making plans to run off with the man if she complained to the neighbors and suspected there was a sexual relationship between the two and didn't do a blessed thing to stop it. Her 15 YEAR OLD!

I don't particularly care what, but yes please, give me something with mango banana papaya sex on top.

YES. I do some work as a model and the photographers always want you to look small, beaten down, meek, open mouthed.. Just overall weak and helpless. Or pouty. Often both. I don't think it's a coincidence that as women gain more and more power in society, there is a media backlash full of meek, wilting, stick thin

I think she loves doing humanitarian work; it's clear it fulfills her in a way that simply making movies alone does not. Audrey Hepburn was similar. Women like this are so rare and so awesome/

Haven't refugees been through enough already?

That's why her hair is so big—its full of self-awareness

As my two naked toddlers just fell off the bed, where I was letting them jump around while I dick around on my phone...

Yeah, it's funny because people that have no clue about the education environment think uniforms are strictly to oppress their snowflakes. Even if there is a high correlation between better schools and uniforms. While correlation isn't causation just bringing that subject up in a meeting will be met with the biggest

More importantly, why would you want to take away every human's fundamental right to be comfortable in their clothing of their choice?

Sorry, the best years of my scholastic life were the ones I spent in a school with a dress code - no trying to figure out what to wear that wouldn't offend some damned gang or another, no clothing items that would get stolen because they were the newest most expensive sneaker or shirt with something offensive to

For most people, quitting a job like that comes with severe repercussions for their career (can you imagine explaining that in your next interview?)
