Basing it off of salary seems strange, I was doing great two years ago according to that figure but got a substantial promotion/raise since then so am under that now.
As an American woman, this is the least surprising thing ever. I don’t know what it is about our particular kind of white man but they feel compelled to make sure everyone knows how they feel. It’s exhausting.

I’d take off 12 weeks if I could, but I don’t get a goddamn day off for free. It all has to come from somewhere. My wife managed to cobble together 12 weeks by using 100% of her vacation time, 100% of her massive backlog of sick time, and eventually spending a few weeks on short-term disability.
