I was once walking down the street with my husband as he was telling me about a stand up special he watched the night before. I mentioned to him that I don’t enjoy stand up or find it particularly funny most of the time and a stand up comedian who was also walking down the street turned around, circled back, and tried

Seth Rogan?

Comedians, especially white comedians, and especially male comedians, are among the most thin-skinned, sensitive people I have ever encountered. So many are unable to absorb ANY criticism whatsoever, and ironically, its the ones who are constantly lecturing their audience to lighten up who are the most sensitive to

I mean, he’s been saying similar things for several years now, though admittedly given during the same period he was still defending and working with James Franco it’s very much up to debate whether it was/is genuine reflection or more career protection.

He’s also got an NBC sitcom, so he’s network family.

Absolutely. I never saw him take anything as seriously as he took this season. During Big Time Adolescence he was still very much in indifferent “I don’t care to be here” mode. He talked about dicking around during filming, taking hours long breaks to go do dumb shit and just being generally unprofessional. So I feel

I also think Cecily is leaving (that Pirro bit seemed very “this is my grand exit!” to me) and Kate. Aidy too maybe, though like you said Shrill is done and it doesn’t look like she currently has anything else in the works. Though I do think she’s outgrown the show at this point and may just need to take the leap of

When you don’t have all the talent, you have to develop a good personality.

Sigh. I Should’ve Known Better... than to click on to this story.

Wait, is that photo current? Richard Marx is fucking beautiful. At 57. I’m in my mid 40s and I look like I escaped from somewhere.

Wait...Rand Paul complains about people supporting violence, and his hair doesn’t catch on fire from the irony?

one of my old supervisors played keyboards for Richard Marx on one of his tours in the 90's.

Richard Marx is a fun, cantankerous twitter follow. He’s also married to (90's MTV star) Daisy Fuentes and appears to be living his best life: https://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/ct-ent-coronavirus-richard-marx-0427-20200427-fdfpckkhsvac5oer62sdrbnpp4-story.html

There’s no way Fey signs up for the SNL schedule again and I really don’t think she’d be interested in dealing with the political expectations. She’s going to keep producing sitcoms and lean further into theater following her recent Tony nominations.

I had the feeling that the entire show is done... it wouldn’t surprise me if it didn’t return next season.

Truth is, I’d go another year, this one was such a shit show and Lorne is accomodating everyone and their side project/shows... why would you leave if you can work half a season.

Bobby has at least crafted quite a good career for himself as a voice actor. But yeah, its kinda hard to pinpoint how much success one would have post-SNL. I think I agree with you about Pete. I can see Cecily and Aidy actually fading, maybe some roles here or there. As for Kate, she’s the biggest name of all those

So no on-screen goodbyes for Kate and Cecily? That would be a shame.

The fact that Aidy, Kate and Cecily were crying at the opening makes me think it’s their last season but the same thing happened last season (or maybe the season before that?) and I was wrong. For some strange reason, though, I can see Kate staying as she hasn’t been pursuing roles outside the show and seems to
