I don’t disagree with your Pete pick, but I feel like he’s too limited to be a star for long. The others may not have starpower, but I think they have more versatility that will lead to longer careers.

Bobby also does Loafy, an adult cartoon that...you probably haven’t heard of :(
“Excuse my naiveté, but I thought we had all agreed the answer was maybe yes years ago.”
Neither Prince, Miles Davis or Picasso ever claimed to be saints. This doesn’t excuse their (alleged) behaviors, I’m just noting that their “brand” and thier “art” didn’t include acting in a saintly fashion.
My issue with Gadsby's statement is that it only applies to art. There have been a lot of absolute pieces of of shit who did wonderful things for humanity, particularly politicians and other activists. We never discuss getting rid of FDR's accomplishments because the internment camps were unforgivable.
Here’s a take: Prince Rogers Nelson came from an abusive household. The scars from the experience just might have manifested itself differently in his abuse and grooming of women as their maestro. As much as I loved the musician, I didn’t know the man. Eccentric? Oh yes. A mystery? True that. An abuser? Possibly.…
Its completely acceptable and fine and maybe even encouraged to like art while understanding the complex nature of the person who made it. Bowie made dope music but was also a creep. Both can exist in a world where one doesn’t negate the other. You can like Prince as a musician while still accepting that he has…
On my list of how believable something is, someone saying something they never said before about someone who is dead and can no longer refute it is near the bottom
This right here is the adult way to look at this. No it is not easy or pretty, life is not like that, but I wish more of us could do it.
Its so much easier to appropriate a terrible person's art after they are dead.
That’s kind of the problem of celebrity culture and hero worship in general, including of historical figures. The public wants to either classify people as perfect or as monsters even though things aren’t that simple.
It was alleged...not proven...
I suppose you also consider snuff films to be romantic comedies? If your intention isn't to minimize and disregard a violent attack then I don't know what the fuck you're trying to do here...
It still wouldn’t be worth it. All those people staying home doesn’t offset a single woman who can’t get an abortion she wants.
Clarice is apparently getting a second season, but on Paramount +, not CBS.
Harron, do you have something else to do tonight? I mean damn girl it’s just after 2pm EST, 11AM PST. I guess we’re doing Saturday Brunch Social?
Rewarding racists with attention for five seasons, but not six, is not anti-racist. Hope you kept the receipt for the little trophy you bought yourself.
Doesn’t everyone wear flip flops these days? I mean, most of the younger generation are going to slides (and with socks!) instead of the ones that we called thongs in the 80s (and only wore to the pool, the beach, or as shower shoes when we were showering in a communal shower.)
On its own, yes. As part of the external Fieri aesthetic, it is piling on.
No.
