I don’t understand how no one she knew growing up — family member, friend, high school reunion committee — didn’t bring this to anyone’s attention.

My opinion:

The wildest part of all to me is that their daughters didn’t even want to go to college. For some reason, the parents just wanted to be able to say “my kid goes to USC.”

Unfortunately, Ron Silver passed away a while back or he could have played Alan Dershowitz once again. Reversal of Fortune is a good movie - you come away from that film liking Alan Dershowitz -- or at least admiring his legal skills.

The NFL Today with Irv Cross, Phyllis George and Brent Musberger is an iconic sports television show whose influence is still felt and seen today. 

It was a great read.

I’d just like to note that the Vulture story is a thing of journalistic beauty. I recommend popping some popcorn or pouring a glass of wine then sitting back to savor it. 

If I were a surly rock critic who lazily compared all musicians who happened to be women to one another I’d compare her to Lorde because if gender is a genre than gender-nationality is surely a sub-genre. “Young women from New Zealand with an international hit song” is pretty sub as genres go.
