You should try the Saw Mill River Parkway next. If you think the Merritt would cause daily pileups, the Saw Mill will blow your mind. During heavy commute times it’s like a paved roller coaster for cars.

I hear professional welders work some wonders as well.

I had the pleasure of driving the Merritt on the Friday afternoon of a 4th of July weekend.  I’m shocked that there aren’t daily 10-20 car pileups on the Merritt.
