“With ULA showing some interest with the Vulcan but is years behind.”

Now playing

“SpaceX beat them at launching a rocket and reusing it with the grasshoper”

“50 years from now when Space X and Blue Origin are one among a dozen of commercial rocket builders Blue Origin will be the ones in the history books, because they did it first.”

“Reusable ICBMs you say?”

I’m sure if they’d landed on land, Elon Musk would have run right out, hopped on the booster, and hung his legs out the other side as a counter balance. Everything would have been just fine.

Rocket stands on four legs.

“I hate to break it to you, but being first to make money is not the only valuable goal.”

Very true.

What does torque have to do with it? It had gravity on the barge and it would have had gravity on land. One of the four landing legs didn’t lock properly in its extended position. With only 3 legs holding it up, the booster would have fallen no matter where it landed.

“Without explaining the difference between hopping into space and actually staying in space all that is pointless for space travel.”

“If SpaceX had been able to land their last rocket on land instead of on the barge (i understnad why they weren’t allowed, it is just unfortunate) , they would have something else to show off right now.”

going vertical to orbital height and coming down (similar flight profile like Blue Origin only not as high)“

“The current plan is for the living quarters to be inflated in space.”

That’s their next rocket, the one they leased LC36 for. This one’s for paid sub-orbital cargo.

No, others who crave penises make the same freudian connection.

“It seems as all of Musks other projects aim too big and consistently under deliver”

They’re working on it.

“So far Blue Origin is just Jeff showing off.”

Their goal for the New Shepard rocket is both tourism and commercial sub-orbital payload flights (yeah, there is a market for that).

“There is no race, the New Shepard can’t launch anything into space.”
