This is the height of just the first stages (New Shepard is only the first stage and a capsule, Falcon 9 has the second stage and capsule or sattellite payload) Falcon 9 is MUCH bigger because launching a second stage and payload on their way to orbit is a much greater task than merely reaching the edge of space.

How about instead imagining a booster that looks a lot like the New Shepard booster but is significantly larger, and powered by BE4 Methalox engines. On top of that, imagine a single-use second stage powered by the same BE3 engine that’s in New Shepard, and on top of that a payload that needs to be delivered to orbit.

“No love for Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser? Since they just got ISS resupply contracts, I’d think you would consider them a contender.”

Now playing

Heavy hitting journalists in Asia are covering the story, too.

“Exactly they are taking the long road, making sure every part of the package does what it is supposed to do, while SpaceX put the package together and tries to work out the kinks afterwards.”

“Orbit has always been the easy part. Launch is harder, and landing and recovering a booster is the hardest.”

What’s the hurry?

“It’s worth noting that Blue Origin is also working to support scientific experiments in microgravity.”

The first Orion crew module was completed some time ago, and made an unmanned flight in 2014.

“Their efforts are towards two superficially similar but different goals.”

“Not the same.”

“This resentment builds and now there’s virtually zero tolerance for minorities to listen.”

“It’s not really KKK logic, “fucked” is past tense.”

“That point is debatable, and only shows in your favor because that is what happened.”

“There were towns in Germany without concentration camps.”

“It’s a picture of a white guy choking a native american to death”

“i mean, the town’s name is Whites-boro”

“That’s a nice euphemism for genocide and forced relocation.”

“The Native American’s mouth is open like he’s gasping for air and his feet are disheveled as if he’s just been caught off guard.”

It’s summed up there in the last sentence.
