I would think the QF-4 would actually make a great attack UCAV, at least maybe better than the F-16 (depending on weapons capabilities - I guess while the QF-4 can potentially carry *more* in payload... it might not be able to carry the latest and greatest). Cheap, fast, redundant engines, and high payload... Seems…
I had a friend die in high school almost this exact way... he t-boned an old lady who ran a red light and died on impact. Same deal with the old lady's license.
Probably has to do with liability... but I totally agree. I think anything that has been stripped of classified or weaponized tech should be able to be sold. I think modern unstable airframes with complex flight control systems should maybe be barred, but everything else should be good to go.
Pretty sure that's what he's saying. An average runway is a mile or two long. If they stationed the fire crew at the end of the runway, it could be at least a mile before they get there. No commercial vehicles accelerate that quickly, so it's at least 10 sec or so before they even get to 60mph. 60mph puts them…
I used to drive transit buses at University of Maryland, and I'll tell you what... commercial S-cam brakes are no joke. Part of the 80-hour training we did before we were allowed to drive on actual roads involved driving the bus at a "cliff" (about an 8 foot drop) full-tilt until the trainer told us to mash the…
Maybe they do procurement like the US gov't... they were given X amt of money for explosives, and dammit, if they don't use them all they just won't get as much money for C4 next time. ;)
LOAD ALL THE C4!!!!
Foxtrot Alpha... just a Gawker media cross post.
the mechanic was test driving it after doing work on the car to validate resolution of the issue. I always test drove vehicles when I was done with them...
I can agree with that.
needs doppler effect. not sure if they handled car sounds changing for mods the way that forza did, but i agree that what was in that clip sounded really good.
lol, and by "not very" i would venture "not even close... at all..." :P
lol how did you associate Polish with Spanish? they're totally different root languages.
Umm... definitely not better than real, imo. Making that claim is also just annoying... Games will never be "better than real", and I'm annoyed that developers continue to focus what seems like more effort on graphics than physics models. I would much rather see a Forza 2 level of graphic fidelity with a physics…
lol, you scooped Tyler (of Foxtrot Alpha) on this despite the fact that I sent this exact video to him directly via Twitter yesterday. good job! :P
You know... it'd be really nice if, in fact, all those capability gaps that opened up in the 90's were in fact closed off by black projects. These days, though, it seems as if that line of thought is simply wishful thinking...
You know, I was a bit excited for Home coming out because I really hoped it could actually become something like MPlayer or TEN from back in the EARLY EARLY days of PC internet gaming. Show up, have conversations with people in general areas, and go to specific rooms for games if you all want to play some sort of…
I always thought Forza 2 did a great job with dirt/brake dust. Not really sure why they didn't seem to continue it into the later games (I can't find any screens of dirty cars on FM3/4/5 - I could boot up FM4 myself I guess but that would take too long)...
Meanwhile, in the US...
