Umm... with FPS/shooter games dominating the ENTIRE gaming market for just about the last 20 years, does anyone really mind if anything else starts becoming as prevalent? I remember Computer Gaming World talking about how tired it was of "Doom Clones" (the early term for FPS games) in 1995. Fast forward 20 years

New headline: "Stock in Tire Companies Soar After Latest Ford Announcement"

Considering the information he's just pulled out of his ass (that's almost always correct), Ferguson is pretty damned smart and surprisingly well-read. I think you're the first person I've seen to analyze and actually get his show. I'm also pretty sure that you're correct about his playing off the talk-show

I would guess boredom? Not like there's much else going on in baseball... Hell, it's the only chance they get to get some physical aggression out :P

This video makes me rethink my choices in life.

Anyone else find it interesting that there were those black project "sightings" last week, and that this week suddenly deals are being worked out? Maybe coincidental... maybe not? Maybe there are US capabilities that have been somewhat "advertised" that Putin hadn't been previously able to account for?

"I don't think the F-35 is killing the A-10. AF leadership is killing the A-10..."

For as boring as the WRX looks, all it needed were a couple small detail changes to go from homely Rachel Leigh Cook in She's All That to super hot Rachel Leigh Cook in She's All That (Sidenote: What's Rachel Leigh Cook up to these days?).

The only thing the US wants out of this situation is maintenance of the present global legal system's status quo. If nothing stops Russia from annexing Crimea/Ukraine (one of these are already done anyway) it establishes a geostrategic precedent that if a sufficiently powerful country wants to expand its borders

I'm all for Tyler opening up that sort of article. Is there a way to tag him in a comment to get him to see the discussion/make it happen? :P

An upgraded Tomcat with modern avionics, modern weapon choices, and a modern FCS would obviate nearly all those advantages. The maintenance and availability downsides could potentially be mitigated by upgrades, but even if they couldn't you're "paying to play" here. Range and speed are necessary for a long range

Well... you would waste X amount of energy to take it from a non-transportation-friendly format and turn it into a easily transportable, carbon neutral, fossil-fuel free commodity. Considering the amount of energy used in the entire lifecycle of an electric car's battery, highly efficient nuclear reactors would make

Nobody likes ED.

yeah... the "payment model" is basically the same as the old days: pay money, get the game. end of story.

you won't be disappointed ;)

lol "goes gold" is a phrase I haven't heard in a long time...

yeah... drinking and flying doesn't mix lol

fortunately they have plenty of time to get input on it and change it before release...

lol so are you outing yourself as a SC dev?

It's not the first thing they show everyone, and the vast majority of people who paid for it are quite happy with what they did see. This is literally the first time they've had it even close to stable enough to show, and they only achieved that about 12 hours prior. Yeah, I'm fine with where they are lol.
