The 90s Starman series is one of the best pieces of serialized superhero fiction ever. There’s fantastic worldbuilding, deep respect for the past (James Robinson worked hard to make every single Starman that’s appeared since 1940 a part of the story) and the art is... well, I want to say stellar, but that’s a pun too

It’s an all black outfit, and he prefers it if you call him Night Maid.

Does that mean we get to see Tom Holland in a maid outfit?

It’s better I guess... let’s just all stop complaining and see how this turns out.

Yeah... no. Gunn is many things but paint by numbers is not one of them. I’m very sure many of these people will end up dead. Probably in increasingly hilarious ways and circumstances but paint by numbers will not be how we get there.

What was the last James Gunn film to be “paint by numbers”?  That cast looks amazing to be honest.

I never thought I’d see a film with Idris Elba, Viola Davis, Peter Capaldi... and Pete Davidson as costars but here it is!

Um.

WE really need Groo the Wanderer, but you be you.

I would agree, but She-Ra wasn’t exactly something a kid would get into until we got what we got. It was a mostly forgotten spinoff of He-Man from the 80's that never got the reboot (toy and show) love that He-Man got. It was pretty much only olds who remembered it before Netflix put out the new show. There’s really

Lemme get this straight - they’ve got an excellent She-Ra series, and they’re gonna make a He-Man series, and they’re NOT gonna link them up at all.

He’s come a long way since Season 1.

I’m glad he just accepted it and turn it quickly into friend mode. Good stuff.

I loved how they subverted expectations with the Robin reveal. I was rooting for her and Steve, but this is way better because now they can be best friends and each other’s wingperson.

They made major heroes out of Paul Rudd and the fat dude from Parks. If SHF believes in someone, I do too.

Sarah Finn and Allison Jones are the best casting directors working right now, hands-down.

...I do if Sarah Finn says she is. That’s just how it is.

God bless Dave Bautista. By all accounts, he’s a gentle giant, except when he deals racist, sexist nazis.

Major props to Edlund for continuing to resist bringing in any old favorites from the original version, and instead continuing to stretch his imagination for new heroes and villains. The temptation to just fall back on what worked before must be incredible but he’s doing great stuff here and I’d love to see where else

Great season. Loved all the new characters, especially Steven Ogg, and liked how much the supporting cast got to do. Overkill and Dot are especially great together.
