Tesla explicitly tries to not let people work on their own cars. they are designed to be assembled in modules so that if a module go bad, they just swap out the whole system for a new one and diagnose back at the factory while the customer gets to drive a lot sooner 

And even then, they design them even more to be more of a “swap out the entire assembly for a new one” way of doing it, then they can take the parts to another facility for diagnosis rather than having a customer wait however it takes.
