Within six to 10 years, Mr. Carlisle said, Cadillac’s entire line will be electric.

I mean, well all know those 40s are necessary for when your city gets a light dusting of snow, or for when you take your dogs to the park and the parking sometimes overflows onto the grass.

Maybe Im just biased, but for some reason used Mercedes’ scare me much more than any other brand

Denmark is largely covered with ice

be pretty damn embarrassing if they shipped off 20M worth of tools and drawings without doing their homework to see if they would actually get paid for it. Thats ebay 101 stuff, always get guarateed payment before you send it off.

IF he had done it one more time I would have guessed it was intentional

didnt have to wait long for the “Who cares if its unsafe, people go around that track all the time and don’t die, its not the tracks fault they got severely hurt” argument bait

Part of it is also the fact that they are leveraging their partnership with Red Bull F1, trying to say they are not just a monetary sponsor but are doing something racy as well

Michelin do NOT certify that they make a tire than can handle those speeds with 100% safety. They did not sign off on the Koenigsegg run because of this. They thought it would be ok, but could not certify the tire for those speeds. As of that run there were no commercially available tires that were safety rated to

the company just shut down a gigantic stretch of Utah highway and let the Agera XS rip.

Its not really “support the weight”, its more, can they spin fast enough to not fly apart and obliterate the entire car in the process. Michelin did not approve of the Koenigsegg world record because were not going to certify the safety of the tires at those speeds.

sucks to aston, blah blah blah....

my big question is, When did they hire Mack again??????????

It isnt clear in the article whether they actually sent over the tooling and plans or not. When i first read through it made it seem like Aston had already shipped it all off, but on a second reading its ambiguous.

They could, but i don’t think they are too keen on the Hitler connection.

That is a deep reference. Take a Star.

Another thing to work out i think. It would all have to be kept track of on some sort of database, so it could be tracked and recorded what and where you exchanged. I’m sure there would also be checks at drop-off and pick-up to make sure there’s no funny business going on. Honestly it would make sense for Tesla to run

Yeah, it will be a rough first few years. Once there are many times more batteries than cars needing switches it will be better. I would imagine there could be app-reservation system or something where you can check the inventory at a swap center and reserve a specific battery based on its charge level, maybe price

The general response to this is that you would only have that spanking brand new, max capacity battery if you paid extra for it. The car itself would not come with a battery and the price would reflect that, and they would just throw a used one in. If you had your own dedicated charging infrastructure and didn’t plan

Thats not from the window, thats from something on the passenger door. If you go frame by frame you can see it never goes down. You can see the back windows were down the whole time.
