Just pointing out that Boston has financial interests in the UK that give them reasons to play games there and give up home games.

Literally every sport has transitioned to utilizing replay to get calls correct, and last year’s men’s World Cup had VAR, so it is hardly without warning. Also, they have an entire system set up to determine if something should get reviewed, how it gets reviewed, and how a call should be overturned, so it is hardly…
I’m paying attention to him because The Ringer is treating him as a reasonable person and saying his book is worth reading, and I made sure to transcribe the conversation because I know one of the reactions to this blog would have been, “Oh, you’re taking this out of context.” So, there’s the context. I believe it’s…
those sports don’t have international competition that the USA wants to compete in. Each sport you list there claims the US domestic competition is the “world championship”. There isn’t a big problem with pick up football not happening because there is no outside competition from countries with that system.
That’s not what I was expecting John Rocker’s kid to look like
After the game he had some very interesting things to say about riding the 7 train.
Fuck. I’m Vacation Dad.
Yeah, I’ll just drop them off when I’m on my way to your work.
The Ivy League is an athletic conference. Brown, Cornell, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale are members. USC and Stanford are in the Pacific-12 Conference.
With Lori Loughlin involved in this, I think it’s safe to say that this scandal is going to be everywhere you look.
Because we already look over our shoulder after every single NFL play. Anytime something good happens for my team my first thought is “I hope there were no flags.” Any time something bad happens I think “I hope there was a flag.” That’s on every single play already. You don’t know if something actually happened until…
Nah. Get rid of the committee. Go back to the old polls. Go back to the old, traditional bowl alignments. Once the bowls are done, and the final poll is out, take the top 2 teams that won their bowl game (this bit is very important), and invite them to a championship game.
Oh, I thought we were talking about the normal dumb white people, but you clarified that we are talking about “super white” people. Got it.
Do you even hear yourselves?
Even before they trampled all over somebody’s cultural traditions, you’d think their Spidey sense would have been tingling from the bitchy intentions of the story.
Unfortunately you are also female so be prepared to get upset at things I say.
This is what I don’t get. Even if you think Ramos is a sexist, why are so many people so unwilling to say Serena actually did a whole lot wrong, and this behavior was in no way par for the course. Note, the NYT ran a story documenting him calling violations on men. Men received 23 fines this tourney vs. 9 for women…
Come the fuck on.
Can we please stop with the Serena worship? She’s a titan of tennis, a superb athlete, but she’s not without flaws, without her faults. She’s petulant, and this isn’t the first or worst instance of abusing an official in her career.
Bell deserves a longer term contact. He’s amazing.
When did it become 20%? Was there a press release sent out?
