“Dr.Cummings even says that if you asked anyone in the field 20 years ago if systems, like we see now, would be a good idea, no one would have agreed.”

Heck yeah.

I’ve had a few cars with that functionality (BMW and Mercedes), and in a way it feels really useful. In certain situations. But in the end what it does or how much it removes the burden from the driver is very little. However, as you say, when in stop-and-go or simply slow-moving traffic it’s at its best.

I’ve owned 3 different cars with ‘self-driving’ tech and driven a lot more in addition to that. I’ve had quite a bit of experience and education in many countries.

Jason Torchinsky, you are 100% correct on this.

Not enough. Face it, man, BART air is mostly fart by now.

Well, he did write that the odds are pretty minimal. Someone meeting your father-in-law is probably even lower in the probability numbers.

Next we need a comparison to what this means as a difference to hotboxing a car.

Maybe their diagram is just a bit incorrect and actually their new AC sucks out all the air creating a vacuum, and then pushes in new air...

Pot kettle black.

They should give a shit about how much they have to pay for that electricity though.

Apparently you have no idea whatsoever about the automobile industry and have no clue about ICE engines. Best not to make claims about a subject you are not familiar with.

second-smallest battery capacity”

If everyone chooses the Tesla Performance model for every fucking performance test ever, then you all should just shut the fuck up and learn to live with it also being chosen for efficiency testing.

Porsche has unequivocally stated that they have found EVs to be most efficient without regenerative braking.

...which means that big-battery EVs like Teslas are inefficient since they lug unnecessarily large batteries around with them for no reason.

Yes, but with EVs they don’t measure the losses when filling up the tank/battery.

No, charging losses can be far more than 25%.

...and most of all: other people are paying you money that they have to pay in penalties for their supposedly ‘dirty’ vehicle. Since we already know that according to studies using ‘on-paper’ figures already only find EVs to barely be cleaner than modern new ICE cars without taking into account those losses or other te

Not BS. Go ahead, try to explain how that Porsche test would’ve been BS in any way.
