Need any tips? :) I made my own cake, among other things (The cake was a mistake! It was August in a country with no air conditioning! Two days before the wedding, so STRESSFUL!) However, everyone still remembers it and comments that it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had.

My dad had always joked since my siblings were small that we could get married on a local golf course every time that the course's TV ad showed up during the local news. Noooooo, we always said.

OH MY GOD

So, I've never worked as a server, but I worked at a McDonald's for two years when I was just a young thing without a car and had to get a job within walking distance.

Yup, my sister too. I got to witness her "fires of Mount Doom" ragesplosion at the "where did you get her from" once after some dude had asked her five times and wasn't satisfied with "she's mine."

OMG, dying!

Now playing

I KNOW. Hollywood seems to ruin even the best, un-ruinable songs in musicals. Case in point:

Ok, so I use white vinegar on ALL THE THINGS, and it usually works, except on the strange orange stains on our sinks!

Seconded! This really works!

Are you me? For real, I cannot eat mayonnaise. And my sister did the same thing to me with mayonnaise and/or margarine...and then she'd eat it! Sometimes combined! For me, I think it goes back to the combined midwest food horrors of my childhood: 7 layer salad and tuna casserole.

Lutefisk, haha. My relatives used to make it all the time for family gatherings, and we all had to eat it UNTIL some of said relatives went to Norway. They looked for lutefisk on the menu in the first restaurant the went to (because authentic, obviously!) and didn't find it. So they asked the server and their hosts

Ladies! Frost yourselves!

Wow, my Nordic ancestors just got way cooler!

OMG, that's what I was thinking too! When I watched the first season of How I Met Your Mother with my husband, who is French, he was laughing so hard at the seven layer "salad" scene, and he turned to me and said, "How do they come up with this? That can't be real!"

Yes, it's all about being in tune with your body and having doctors who are willing to listen to symptoms. Happy ending: I did find a pill that worked pretty well for me for about 2.5 years after that!

THIS. I posted a comment upthread about my experience with my first BC pill (Yaz, incidentally) starting to cause ossification in my ears (basically, all the parts of your ear that help you to hear get turned into hard bone. Scary!) Also, my regular doctor laughed at me when I told her. :/ Got to another doctor who

Gah, SO TRUE! Two years ago, I was starting to slowly lose my hearing and get very dizzy over a long weekend, wasn't sick, didn't have any weird ear wax, called my lady doctor first thing on Monday morning...and she laughed at me! She told me that there was no way that could happen because of the pill and that I was

Ha, funny that you mentioned the name Ocean because it's a really common name where I live (France), spelled Océane and pronounced "O-say-ahn."

I knew two brothers: Rocky and Stoney. O.O

That was my first thought when I saw the picture too...cookies...
