That would also assume that the car was designed with manual controls at all. Many of the new automated designs are trying to maximise interior space, and having a wheel and pedals takes up a lot of that space.

Maybe it’s torque? That’s about 100 more than the current Hellcat. I’d say 1157 HP and 757 ft-lbs, but that doesn’t quite fit the engine mold as well. American V8s tend to have numbers that are closer together.
I’m also pretty sure that they can’t protect you from the vicious side-eye you’ll get from normal people when you roll up in a pair of those.
Nintendo’s Super Bowl ad fixes that feeling.
A jet engine...on a biplane...
I’m so happy, the Super Stock Dart lives again!
So while I realize that premium fuel does not make your car faster, it is not necessarily a waste of money to use in a vehicle that doesn’t require it. Some places have better additive and detergent packages in their premium fuel vs their low octane fuel, so the premium can be better for your engine longevity. I…
...an affordable halo sports car
Wait, how exactly do those standards affect jobs? They talk about putting in a brand new plant to build X model of car an it only creates 1500 jobs or sometimes even less than that. How are millions of jobs suddenly at stake if manufacturing lessens? I realize we’re talking about plants across multiple companies,…
Fair, but I’d still call that “property damage” as I highly doubt the tree would show no signs of damage.
Nobody else was injured, and no other property was damaged in the one-car wreck, other than the Aventador itself.
Hasbro wants Unknown Evil to win so they can reveal who he actually is with the toy. Don’t think an all black silhouette toy would sell well, lol.
Nephenee was my savior on more than one occasion and just a general badass. I’d pick Lucina over Lyn as well.
That’s fair, and I agree it’s an engineering feat to build a race car that can be competitive, especially against large fields of similarly capable car. My thing would be if Ford went out and claimed that the Fusion is the best car because it won so many NASCAR races (I have no idea if this is true, just an analogy)…
Yeah, I saw that note, but wasn’t sure where those got their engines. I figured it was probably something in the truck division more or less since it would be pretty robust to move that kind of mass down the road. Had the feeling it was probably very similar to something like the DP1 “Vettes” or the C7.R.
Not necessarily knocking them if it’s a winning formula, just think it cheapens calling it a “technical achievement” if it’s not really your parts. Kinda like NASCAR. The car might kinda vaguely resemble the cars they are based on if you squint really hard while drunk, but they are a fair cry from the original days…
Late 20's. First car was a 71 Corvette (still have it), then bought a 67 Dart and put a modern 5.7 Hemi and 6 speed in it. Haven’t touched the suspension aside from replacing bushings and ball joints.
Are Cadillac engines actually unique or just GM LS pieces? I know the old Northstar stuff was more or less “unique”, but didn’t know if they were still evolving that or just using what was in the parts bin since the LS has been so successful. This is a sweet looking car, but I’d be a bit disappointed if it’s running…
Ah, I read it as what’s the point “of” a drag-focused, car, not “on”, my bad.
Drag Pak Challenger is Dodge’s factory drag offering.
