I would say it is closer to pine than balsa. Pine is not ideal to build with, but is extremely abundant. My hope is that time turns hydrogen from Science fair to Industry standard. Only time will tell if this becomes a reality rather than science fiction.

I hope you are right about BEVs and I hope we see the research and development necessary to make Fuel Cell cars a viable option as well. In a perfect world, hydrogen is the ideal long game solution. Also, I should probably clarify that I don’t believe that humanity should not exist as a result of disliking the idea of

I don’t think BEVs are going to save the earth. If anything, the mining for the battery components will make things worse. We need to find a way to make hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles viable and not damaging to the earth to produce. I would much rather roll the dice on a vehicle design that uses the most

I was thinking along the same lines, but more along the lines of the XC40.

This is my favorite suggestion. I test drove one in PA back in 2018 and loved it.

Agreed. This is why we need DT back in this game. He always had the most entertaining suggestions.

Such things give me hope for my car shopping experience when I am shipped off to Japan in Dec 2022.

I’m not your buddy, guy.

We’ve all been there. I onced jumped a set of batteries wired in parallel (12V higher amps), on the 24 volt setting of the jump pack. I managed to make 2 800 CCA Optima redtops swell up and get very hot before I noticed my error. Thankfully, the battery fuses blew before the PCM could be affected. That was a nice

I’m not particularly fond of these alfa based jeeps, but they have decent ground clearance, are bigger inside than the impreza, have an upright seating position that should help with his condition, can be had with a 2.0L turbo or 3.2L V6. Both are pretty good on gas, and have a solid 4WD setup. I bet you could pick

These are not American Soldiers. They are American “Guardians” apparently. If they were hoping to be taken seriously, I’m not sure starting with “United States Space Force Guardians” is the right choice.

This begs the question, what is the mailing address of the moon? This is vital information... I mean, how else will GM send them the recall notice?

Used cars. 50, 000 miles? 6 years old? that’ll be your life savings and your first born please.

Its clearly her stash man. Look at how excited those guys are.

I wish I had been there when this was the case. The last time I was in Albuquerque, I was driving a Geo Metro 3 cyl (more often 2 cyl since the middle one had almost no compression). I would have loved to see how that turd would have run, or possible blown up, on 103.

I’m stationed at Aviano in North Eastern Italy. The more responses I get to my post, the more I am starting to think I’m just not very observant when I go to fill up. The ENI and AGIP stations I use nearby are as I said, with only 95 on tap. Perhaps the larger ones have more options, but COVID restrictions have kept

We don’t have a POV fuel station on base. We are limited to a specific gas station chain by our NATO rationing system. At these stations, They have 1 GPL option (sometimes), 1 petrol option, and 2 diesel options. You are probably correct for different fuel station chains. I was last in Germany in 2009, so I can’t say

Well i’ll be damned @smalleyxb122 & @V10omous. I was not aware that it was measured differently here, although that should have been a safe assumption. Thanks for teaching me something new, and subsequently ruining my Soviet fuel joke.

so I’m not a huge racing fan. I appreciate and respect the engineering side of it though. That is why my favorite dumb track is Watkins Glen. There, you take the least sophisticated racing cars on earth (NASCAR), and pit them against an old fashioned, oddly shaped, multiple corner road course. These cars already have
