Here is the new home for the Grand Wagoneer for the next year and a few months. My family actually managed to fit it in the garage. It will soon be full of parts I will need to install when I get back stateside. Thanks again DT.

Thank you for ripping the headliner out of the Wagoneer. I was really not looking forward to that part of the project. I can’t wait to get back to the US and get started recapturing some of it’s glory.

true Blasphemy!

Sadly, all the turbo 5's and 6's are dead. even the NA 6 is dead. I will say though, that I haven’t heard any horror stories about the Super/turbo charged 4's.

I concur. I bought the XC90 for $500 knowing it needed tires, a wheel bearing (hub unit), pads and rotors, and a vacuum pump seal kit. Did all the work myself, spent $1200 total in parts. 65,000 miles of flawless travel later it’s running like a top and hasn’t given me a single new problem.

I’m currently DDing a 2007 XC90 N/A 3.2L AWD. It’s not an exciting car by any means, but it has been stone dead reliable. Fuel economy is in the mid 20's. Its very minimalist, which I do tend to enjoy in my cars. at 170,000 miles it feels like it still has a lot of life left in it. I don’t think It will come back with

Shall I assume that the “L” indicates Chinese made? If I was to buy one, I’d get one of the Swedish or US built ones. I won’t buy one because I am a poor Jalop of course...

I disagree. The XC40 looks a lot better than GM’s badge-engineered Korean siblings. As far as crossovers go, this is one of the only ones that is distinguishable from the crowd.

I’d take a flier on it. I love the 1987-1996 F-150s. My only wish is that the 92-96s kept the dashboard from the 87-91s. I thought the new dash was a step in the wrong direction. Regardless, that I-6 is bulletproof. The Mazda 5 speed behind it is a bit of a weak point. Both diffs are excellent though.

I would argue that Volvo now has the most attractive lineup in the auto industry. There isn’t an ugly duckling in the whole bunch.

Yeah, I’m sure the F-35 was a “fixed price” contract too.

You read this correctly. But don’t worry, GM will conveniently run over budget just trying to fulfill the initial order, then ask for near double to meet the deadline. Our incompetent congress will surely give the Army the money to cover the added cost (No doubt a large portion of them will make a profit off the

So the Army looked at the HMMWV program failure and thought, okay the next one should have the following:

Does anyone else look at the way they did the infotainment screen and see this?

I think the most idiotic idea in automotive history here was actually on Ford. They thought, “Why don’t we make a truck that requires the entire cab removed to do basic maintenance, but not make it pivot on a hinge like a cab-over.” He then had the second dumbest idea in Automotive history when he thought “I will

I have to agree that Mitsubishi is (or perhaps was) Japan’s most interesting automaker. They have a strangely compelling choice in every segment, although their best days seem to be far behind them. I am quite fond of my 2010 Mitsubishi colt. It was built on the smart four-four platform, and has a minuscule 1.1L NA

Mr. Tracy,

Honestly, the difference is that VW has deeper pockets than coal-rolling Cletus, who spent all of his moonshine money putting exhaust stacks from a Peterbilt in the bed of his 1998 Ram 2500.

For whatever reason, when I look at these photos of the car, The grill looks like a bad Photoshop. It’s like it just doesn’t fit the overall design. I think the problem is that the rest of the car looks like a run of the mill Asian sedan (Coupe) now, so the kidney’s just don’t belong.

I bought a non-phev pacifica for my mother last year. She loves it. I don’t think the pacifica is a bad vehicle. Minivans just don’t pull in the crowds like the horrible CUVs do now. I would like to see what an Electric Pacifica would be like. You would think a platform as large as that could accommodate a massive
