I guess I got pretty lucky with my 2011 then. Currently, it is on it’s second owner, who has it up to 215,000 miles and has not suffered the same fate. However, I did use full synthetic 5W-20 and did oil changes every 7500 miles. Perhaps the oil was never in there long enough to get dirty, and thus cause a slow down…

I have the predecessor to the Mirage, the Mistubishi Colt. I have to agree with you about it’s performance. It’s no speed demon, but it’s an eager little car. I love tossing it into hairpins on Italian roads and never having to worry about over doing it. 

On second thought, it’s actually closer to the Hyundai Kona. 

I was almost going to compliment GM on their rather original styling this time around. That was until I noticed an uncanny resemblance.
