Existing in the greys is like a zombie novel. There are a few sentient human beings, but mostly just animate corpses that yell "FALSE FLAG" and "NOT ALL MEN" at random intervals.

Me too. It's mostly like yelling into a void.
People do this to me so often at work when they don't realise that I outrank them (I have a deceptive babyface). The humble pie is so sweet.
It really was remarkable. I think they clear away the flowers each day now so there's room for more.
I think if you're going to pay tribute or reflect, it's perfectly okay to stop by. For me, I am so attached to this city as my home, so I felt like it was something I had to do. If you do go, I'd avoid taking pictures, but it sounds like you're not the kind of person who would do that anyway.
Nothing wrong with that! :)
I was in NY that Christmas after studying abroad, it was all good until the massive blizzard (this was about 4 years ago) that trapped us in the city.
Australia, home of prawns :) I like to have them with fresh lemon and a tangy salad, washed down with some white wine.
Agreed! It was this one: http://tastebudtours.com/tours/new-orle…
Not really off the beaten path, but I did a really good food tour through the French Quarter. I can find the link if you'd like :)
I'm hoping Christmas day will be a huge feast of cold prawns. it's not Christmas here without prawns. Hoping to make some ceviche as well.
Where are you living? My mum will never forgive me for the one Christmas I spent abroad.
Non-American and it works perfectly for me, cause it goes up around midday here. A little victory, most jez posts go up while I'm sleeping so I don't usually get to comment on them in time to interact with people.
This weekend I went down to the memorial for the victims of the Lindt cafe seige in Sydney. I don't know why, but I felt so uneasy there. Maybe it's because I've been so many times in better circumstances, or maybe because I felt like I was gawking. There were so many tourists there, and apparently an anti-Islam…
Alan Jackson has a cookbook! Another thing to buy for my dad (that he will invariably never use).
I actually really love the Maybelline BB cream, and I hardly ever buy drugstore products. Somehow it's perfect for my skin.
Maybe update the story to reflect that two hostages died and a few were injured?
A perfect date? That's a tough one. I'd have to say April 25th. Because it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.
NSW Police said it was unrelated
I hope your mum is okay. Apparently the networks are jammed because so many people are trying to get through, so hopefully you get in touch with her soon.
