General gripe...
My wife had the 2014 V-6 which I had her trade for a 2016 XC90. She is still pissed at me and insists on getting a Hellcat as we only have 2 kids. I told her to wait for the Red-eye.
I agree. I know that part of why I bought a used Model S over a new Model 3 was size and style because having double the storage space was a big deal for me with a wife and two kids. I also like looking straight ahead of me at driving information.
That is why I just bought my used model S. HOV lane will save me almost 15 minutes each way on my commute and electric will save $300 in gas a month ( I have solar and used model S still have free super charging).
Seems this would be perfect to slap an electric power train (still no hood) and batteries (replace gas port) into and then done. You know a practical electric coupe. You could even make it a coupe hatchback with a frunk...how much more room do you need than that?
This is awesome! My wife keeps asking what I want for birthdays and having a 911 to run around for a weekend. The TURO price in San Diego is $999 a day for a 2015 GTS.
Neutral: I am currently deciding between trading my 2016 V60 for a 2016 (or newer) Jaguar XF or waiting 2-3 years for the all electrics to hit the market. I drive a bit over 100 miles round trip to work each day and want to be comfy. I pay for my home so I can install a nice charger in the garage.
I sometimes drive Lyft Lux on Friday or Saturday night as I live in a Tourist City. I have 100K + income, but find driving relaxing. I usually get paid $10-15 a mile and make $400-600 on the 6PM to 2AM shift. Rideshare insurance is $5 a month. I would stop if I had to become an employee.
Update...The SUV driver has been booked on felony assault charges and the BMW driver is facing misdemeanor charges as well. You can look in The Patch to verify this.
I have a 2016 V60 T5. I am so anxious for either bigger or better, but I am waiting for the T8 or all electric to make its way to the wagons. I test drove the T8 in the XC90 but the 82K price was way to much. I mean you can get a 2016 T8 for 57K after just 2 years. So yes please give me an all electric wagon or hybrid…
I wonder if my neighbor with a Viper and a Hellcat has one of these on order...btw he DDs a 72 Beetle
Sitting in traffic on my 2001 GSXR-750 on I-8 West (San Diego) since cars were being stupid and no lane splitting room. Traffic finally breaks and I open it up to well over 100 mph (around 112 according to the officer). He asks for license and registration then asks why I did it. “Sir, I was so tired of sitting in…
Now V90 T8 vs PST 4E. Volvo 400hp/472tq, 0-60 5.3 sec, tow 5000 lbs, curb weight 5100 lbs, price $86K (estimate of $22K hybrid mark up). Porsche 462hp/516tq, 0-60 4.4 sec, tow 4850 lbs, curb weight 6100, price $133k (optioned as desired/similar to Volvo). Both 8 speed autos with AWD.
Dear fellow ride share drivers,
I love the V90 so much. As a 2016 V60 owner I will probably not get one until I can afford the Polestar version or they make an all electric.
I am an Uber/Lyft driver in Southern California. I added a rider to my policy for ridesharing. It raised my rates by $5 a month. I am with USAA and already carry more than the minimum required insurance so others may see a larger hike, but not much.
Same here. I work when I feel like it and make money at that rate which is what I want. I already have a 40 hour a week job that pays plenty. I happen to just like making extra cash when the wife has to work nights and there is nothing new on Netflix.
In the Seattle experiment, trip requests from black riders took between 16 to 28 percent longer to be accepted by both UberX and Lyft, and breaking UberX out showed a wait time of 29 to 35 percent longer than their white counterparts.
The acceptance time for Uber/Lyft drivers is a 10 second window per driver). Your…
It sh*ts fire...how awesome is that!
