Man, all Jalopnik readers must have been rich as teens. We ran out of gas ALL the time, and were constantly pooling funds to buy a couple gallons at a time. Weren’t above some light siphoning either.

Why not both sides?

The root problem here is driving the kids to school. School busses, city busses and walking or biking are the right way to do it. My recollection is NYC schools give every student a transit pass so those kids could be riding those,MTA busses instead of blocking them. Even if the MTA needs a dedicated bus line with

My kid is in school in Queens; this is absolutely 100% the parents’ fault. There is rarely any need to drive your kids in the first place: https://steinhardt.nyu.edu/research-alliance/research/spotlight-nyc-schools/how-far-do-nyc-students-travel-get-school

how about a truck with 2 doors haven’t seen that in a while....

You want my precious incredibly special child to have to suffer the dangers of walking around the block to get to my car? Do you know how many terrible things could happen in that one block? Don’t you know how incredibly dangerous the world has gotten?!?!?  What happens if one of them illegals is out there waiting for

I have no sympathy for parents like this.  Park around the block and walk to the front of the school to get your kid.  It’s pure selfishness.

Retro designs of 20 years ago? But the New Beetle, the new MINI, the T-Bird, the PT Cruiser, the 5th Gen Mustang... they all came out in... [checks notes]... crap. I’m old.

I was going to almost partly side with the parents, but really it’s not a problem the city made. It’s a problem the schools made by not setting up the school with an addequate way for parents to drop off. Whether that’s a public school system issue or private schools, I don’t know.

It’s almost like they kind of wanted to make a Jeep Gladiator, but they ordered it from Wish.com

To me, it feels like they started with a Lego truck and then just decided to build a real one. Oddly blocky.

I worked at a variety of tech companies before deciding I was tired of that industry. What you described happened a lot. I worked at one that is owned by an asshole who likes yachts. Anyway... that company would buy companies, fire everyone, and let the product rot on the vine until it was so outdated it was unusable.

Rules for thee, not for me. Fucking douchebag.

Its not just old people either. Most of flyover America will vote for assholes like this even if it hurts them. Because they are.... fucking stupid.

Fuck him. Fuck trump. Fuck the GOP. Fuck trump supporters. Fuck Mitch McConnel. Fuck Fox “news”. Fuck all of them.

This would be the equivalent of giving the fox the keys to the hen house.

It’s projection all the way down. Every accusation is a confession.

Pretty, but I can’t envision spending $20K on virtually any 12 year old Ford.  Haven’t touched one since my ‘90 and ‘92.

The GOP regularly talks about gutting Social Security and Medicare and yet these old bastards still vote for them and give them power. Half of America is stupid.

Okay, everybody say it with me now:
