To me, miles are nice when it comes to occasionally getting a free trip, but they aren’t really that big of a deal.

Look, here is the rule.
“people are idiots who can only ride fast in a straight line (if at all).”
Consumers bill of rights until we start regulating programs like this, Amazon's ability to unilaterally claim your return was not what it was supposed to be, companies abilities to deny warranties, the companies will just keep taking us over the coals knowing individually none of us will sue them for a worthwhile…
This article perfectly summarizes my gripes with points programs. They’re like an intermediate currency with a value that is almost impossible to judge on a day by day basis. When the company that issues points also determines their value AND says they can only be used on their products and services, forgive me for…
Yep, people are getting more dickish on planes because there’s hardly ever consequences. A few stories about those dicks being banned from flying and having to pay tens of thousands in fines will put a hard stop to the problem pretty fast.
♫ You load 16 tons, what do you get ♫
Its a tragedy that two men lost their lives, it’s a travesty that some lawyer wants to blame the car and not the driver.
Literally as it allows you to use it, the systems says “BE PREPARED TO TAKE CONTROL.” Sure, it’s a CYA, but it’s a legit warning.
Sometimes a person just needs a car. Nothing glorious, but 4 wheels that’ll get you around without too much embarassment. This is that car.
Reintroduce punishment.
I’m no sociologist, but I think people engage in these activities because they think the odds are low of getting caught, or they don’t fear the repercussions if they *do* get caught (or both).
We’re moving past the days where fear of punishment is a deterrent. I don’t know how to fix that.
Both of them:
Any car with a FJB, Trump 2024, Joe and the Hoe etc stickers on them. Also big ‘ol American flags waving in the wind (and reducing mpg) and Don’t Tread On Me stickers/flags. Oh, and III stickers. I think you get the picture.
Bro dozers, Mercedes G-Wagons, Cybertrucks, Hummer EVs
Honestly probably the only one is a bro dozer
Let’s break out the worlds smallest violin for the couple making 500k and feeling average in their above average cars and home, taking 3 $7,000 vacations a year, spending $2,000 a month on food, almost $1,000 a month on clothes, $1,000 a month on “child lessons”, $1,500 a month donated to charity, that can still bank…
I think that was done on purpose. Rich folk love to talk about how poor they are.
They’re not living beyond their means. After their luxurious lifestyle is all paid for, they have $600 a month to spend on whatever they want. The question is, why would anyone feel sorry for these people?
The one that really jumped out was managing to spend ten grand a year on clothes described as ‘not fancy’. They must have a different definition of fancy than us poors do.
