I couldn’t agree more with that last part. My partner and I went to go look at Audi E-Trons this past weekend and when I showed her a Q8 sportback, she thought it looked incredibly stupid to take a 5-door fastback, add giant 22" wheels, and lift the body up several inches. A total poseur car.

Manufactures that only make monochrome cars say customers are not buying colorful cars because manufactures are only making monochrome cars.

*Dealers shouldn’t be allowed to spec their cars

Can’t someone go back to making cars with 16 inch wheels, please?

Utah even tried that. And it WAS cheaper than the status quo.  Then they stopped the program.

As Reagan put it, “They need to vote with their feet.”

The ineptitude of Condo Associations and HOAs in Florida it truly epic.  Lots of good stories out there.  These places are a financial time bomb for so many people.

Global warming leads to rising sea levels, and impoverished land dwellers seek refuge on flotillas of floating homes... where is Kevin Costner when you need him?

Fucking republicans again. Every single one is a piece of shit.

Doc fees are an insult to everyone’s intelligence, but dealers here in PA would never give it up. Right now i believe the state has capped them at $449, so of course every dealer will charge $449 for mailing a piece of paper. Legal theft.

You know how to end this? Arrest everyone involved on interstate fraud charges as you know they did so because its their standard MO. Find a few cases to anchor the charges. Sell a out of state grandmother “paint protection” without providing any protection? Enjoy the prison system for the 2-3 years it takes to hit

i just bought a car and that Doc fee is way out of hand and they refuse to back off it, I told the guy I have a Ivy League educated lawyer who doesn’t charge that much to file paperwork.

Damnit! There goes my nitrogen tire full up...

Yeah, fair enough. Every contributor to the Federalist Society should rot in Hell.

The stay would have probably happened in nearly any jurisdiction given the hubbub happening around the current SCOTUS case involving Chevron Deference. There’s no reason to spend the effort to working up a legal justification in the lower courts supporting agency rule making when SCOTUS could just throw it all away

But how else will I pay $700 for a window tint warranty on a car that has the factory tint build into the glass?

I get that most car buyers are at a disadvantage when buying a car every so many years. Buyers don’t know all the tricks of the trade.

in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals

I read the Supreme Court is actually writing a the 28th amendment now. I realize that it’s not normal for the court to *write* the law, but since everyone now accepts that the Supreme Court is a fully political body that accepts bribes, etc, they decided to just write their own laws starting in 2024:

The best part about this: Dealers are clearly so focused on being able to maximize their revenue at the expense of customers that they really don’t care how this looks.
