Family reunification is a great goal. But why on earth would they force a woman who has said she doesn’t want this girl, has promised to beat this girl, to take her back? Against the advice of DCF and the guardian? That judge should not be deciding family cases ever again. He shouldn’t decide any cases.

The Miami Herald has done excellent work on the problems in Florida’s DCF system in the past. I don’t know if anything has changed in the last couple of years, but I kind of doubt it.
