The premise is wrong. I have 14- and 9-yr old children, a GTI, and a habit of taking family trips in it. Just don’t pack so much stuff. Think like a European.

I own and love a 2016 GTI. I cross shopped with the BRZ and the Abarth, so I am in a good position to refute your comment - the GTI is amazing. It is a beautiful have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too car. That said, it is not a pure driver’s car like the GT. As others have said, it doesn’t RWD.

Yes. I own a ‘16 GTI & I’ve watched the simple how-tos. I’m thinking I might combine a new exhaust with disconnecting the speaker in a few tens of thousands of miles.

Oui, je ne suis pas stupide. Mais, vraiment, je desire cette Alpine.

In fairness, that’s Alpine Fanboy Blue - they’ve been sporting that shade since the 1960s.

All my wife really wants is a mid-sized wagon, but this being America we’re stuck looking at SUVs instead of Mazda6 wagons, and Passat Variants. This Tiguan is right in our sweet spot if we decide the Golf Sportwagen is just too damned small.

Wasn’t him. The guy in the R8 was another old white-haired gent who looked vaguely like Bernie.

Good choice.

The longitudinal turbo 4 says BMW or Audi, and the styling says BMW at the back (and it has RWD porportions) and Ford at the front. Like a RWD Ford Fusion. A puzzle.

I couldn’t help but think about Doctor Who (2005) when I read this comment...

I’ve looked, and I don’t see a P or an N on any of my cars’ shifters. I think you made that up.

Lawyers, man.

Enjoy!

Yes it is.

Yes it is.

Yes it is.

I’ve always just sort of assumed it was a Starlet.

You just know without looking when it’s a Torchinsky post. :)

Holy front overhang on that R8...
