We need a movement to persuade Jon Stewart to step down. It’s clear he is no longer fit for the job. His memory is clearly failing him if he doesn’t remember  this:

Look, wanting everyone to have reasonable healthcare insurance and believing trans people don’t have the right to exist are just two different but equal things that people can believe, right?

I have to say, I know that “sex pests” is a phrase used in the UK and perhaps elsewhere, but I’ve always thought it’s such a goofy and inadequate way to describe a sexual predator. I think of “pest” as something that’s annoying at worst.

I always find it kind of hilarious when people use presidential elections as a valid sample size for anything. Every single election for the past quarter century has had highly educated and respected pundits confidently asserting that X would happen, and then being dead wrong.

That sounds impressive, but that’s only 25 elections. So it’s happened 20% of the time. The percentage goes up once you start factoring in that not all of those elections were against a sitting president. That drops it down to 15(I think?) and about a 1 in 3 shot.
