So somebody who never believed he’d ever be with his daughter ever again is going to be pissed off when he comes to the realisation that one day he will? He was upset that he’s been torn back to this cold hard world, but he knows that he has a reason to be happy now, because one day he feels like he’ll see her again.

Personally, yes I do believe that there’s a spiritual element involved in the first season, but I also believe that people are reading too much into the ending.

The ending was simple; Rust had a quasi-spiritual near-death experience where he “knew” he felt his daughter on the other side. He didn’t convert to

I actually enjoyed the “boring” parts tons haha.

Unfortunately it’s fake. Join Shenmue 500k on Facebook to keep up with the rumours and stuff. We’re a close family over there.

Completely disagree. I usually hate FPSers, but Goldeneye was wonderful.

I have love for both, for very different reasons. The FPS had a hidden genius to it. Uber tactical to the point where it became a game of first person shooter speed chess.

Firstly, the love for Shenmue isn’t nostalgia, it’s an acquired taste. Two notable young reviewers recently played the game for the first time last year, and they loved it. Secondly, it’s not surprising you can’t appreciate Shenmue because it’s not for everyone. It defies genres, it moves at an extremely careful pace

This is all well and good, but it’s only a problem for creationists who take the bible 100% literally. It doesn’t stump all creationists (not all of us believe in the bible), and it doesn’t even stump all christians, because many believe that the earth wasn’t created in 6 literal days, but rather figurative. So

Mine did at one point. I started coughing up blood because my anxiety made my breathing so bad for weeks on end, and I was coughing too hard, which apparently tore some lining somewhere.

Game of Thrones. Plays like a really old school Bioware Style RPG, with one of the best video game stories I've experienced in a damn long time.

Is it "demonising" social anxiety disorder to say it's undesirable? Is it "demonising" obsessive compulsive disorder to say that it can hinder a person's life? When did we get to the point with our society that we start calling undesirable things perfectly desirable? Yes there are many wonderful people with autism,

I'm not sure why the distinction of animals being people or animals matters. They feel, and they live. Just because they aren't like you doesn't mean they aren't deserving of protection. If anything, your worldview is the skewered one. Like all equal rights movements, history will eventually prove you were on the

The world is already burning. Just not the human world.

This is hardly the same thing. Not drinking milk won't cause you to contract a terrible illness, for one.

Or maybe they just don't want people being harmed. They are trying to protect an animal nobody gives two shits about, so that's indicative of their humanitarianism and selflessness.

Shenmue isn't about fun. It's a religious experience.

The reason there was "nothing afterwards" was because Adam Boyes said they'll have more info on Shenmue / Yakuza in about 6 months.

Because Sony are the ONLY ones who have recently stated for the record that they want Shenmue on their console. That's reason enough to trump any "buy Microsoft" reasonings, and Sega haven't given us info on the series in years.

STFU

Agreed that it wasn't really an RPG. But modern definition of "RPG" is so far removed from the original meaning anyway. RPGs were role playing games, not stat management games.
