Feminist logic

You realize having sex in’t illegal? You can go to Craiglist and find someone to have sex with. That doesn’t make it prostitution... That’s two consenting adults doing the nasty

That you think it was a prostitution site shows just how little you understand what this story is about. You should refrain from further commentary until you’re better informed.

What law do you think they’re braking? “Sex sites” are perfectly legal both where the site is based out of and in the other major markets it operates in.

Hacker logic: “I don’t care if you engage in a perfectly legal business enterprise! I am the ultimate digital moral authority and I decide what does and does not qualify as socially acceptable!” See also: religious extremist logic, political extremist logic, fan boy logic

Exactly. What these people do in their personal lives is none of your, or mine, or the hackers’ business. Is cheating wrong? I think so, but that doesn’t give me the right to out people because I feel morally superior to them.

Not to mention potential identity theft which, in my experience, takes waaaay longer to resolve and is a far bigger pain-in-the-ass than a divorce...

Hacker logic: “I don’t care if you engage in a perfectly legal business enterprise! I am the ultimate digital moral authority and I decide what does and does not qualify as socially acceptable!”

Yeah. Fuck other peoples’ privacy.

Hey, my committing a crime (extortion) is OK because you’re committing a morally offensive act. It could be as low-level as harassing women leaving an abortion clinic or as high-level as genocide. Doesn’t matter.

and where does their morality policing stop?

Hacker logic: “I don’t care if you engage in a perfectly legal business enterprise! I am the ultimate digital moral authority and I decide what does and does not qualify as socially acceptable!”

No one

If this were a private data dump of women or LGBT, the treatment by gawker media would be 180 degrees different.

Really Nolan should have just the route of 2001, don’t even bother to explain the weird shit.

I hated that part of the movie. Great movie, but that bullshit held it back.

I absolutely love Pacific Rim. That being said...

This the moment when I realized that the entire message of the film was essentially going pseudo-philosophical bullshit.

Exactly. Especially that of this asshole:

“You told me you want monsters. I gave you monsters. In no way am I responsible for the terrible decisions made I am just shucking that responsibility up the chain to the management who didn’t have a PhD or three and thus don’t know any better. “
