I’m the kind of guy that’ll never see the whole map of an MMO - I get caught up in an area that I like and usually spend the rest of my time there until I move on to the next game. I definitely see where you’re coming from though. The idea of near infinite space exploration is intriguing.

I know this won’t be a popular opinion, but the game looks boring to me. It’s a very intriguing concept, but I don’t see why I’d spend an extended period of time playing it.

If this doesn't change, it's what's going to kill VR before it ever gets going. VR headsets should be no different than a TV or PC monitor - they all work. Some have nicer features than others, but when I plug my PC or PS4 into them - voilà - it works.

I don't know why, but I think a Dark Souls style game that looked like this could be amazing.

I see this and immediately think of Final Fantasy Tactics running in an engine like this. Then I cry because I know it will never happen...

The last thing I kickstarted was Unsung Story. I vowed I would never kickstart anything ever again.

You’re one of my favorites here Luke, and I know random internet voice #5628465b means squat to you, but that’s a pretty douchey reply.

They’re only asking for $300,000?

Now that is some awesome artwork...

Except you aren’t investing in an idea, you are kickstarting a project with a promised reward to be delivered at the end, to be determined by the amount of money you put up.

I don’t doubt that, and in no way do I think it’s limited to Kickstarter projects. It’s just that in addition to developers double dipping, getting money from both publishers and backers, the real issue I have is the lack of accountability. When the Kickstarter period ends, there is absolutely nothing in place to hold

I’m over Kickstarter.

I can't wait for it to just show up on store shelves one day without ever actually having been announced.

They were pretty misleading when they said it was going to be “more than $350.”

Best Buy has the PlayStation TV hardware for $39.99. I did a double take and then picked one up real quick.

The game better be damn good, otherwise Square Enix is going to really regret giving PS4 people a whole year to think about whether they REALLY want to buy it.

That was my first thought too.

That is an incredibly bold step. I applaud that they’re willing to do this, I just wish they would have had the guts to simply delay the game on PC. People would have been upset, but it would have been better in the long run.

From my understanding that's not an option. If they wait too long between movies the actual rights revert back to Marvel, which is why there's a new movie every few years.
