Hachi should be on here.

I fully agree with you and I fully agree with both nerfs. I just think the timing looks bad, especially when you consider the facts you brought up - that Surfer is even more oppressive and was allowed to go an extra season basically, and that Zabu didn’t even crack their Top 5 and was dominant only when looking at spe

I don’t like that they nerf the card the second you can’t buy it anymore. It seems a little scummy to leave it OP as long as that’s the current pass on sale in order to get people to literally buy into the hype, and then three days into the new season say ‘eh, that was a little too strong…’

I’ll miss you, Mike. Thank you for your relentless enthusiasm and positivity. Thank you for being such an inspiration.

I appreciate you, and I appreciate your words on the matter. I think that’s all people want though, just not in the comments. Grief is a horrible thing. Whatever Mike Fahey meant to us, as readers, we know he meant a millions times more to you.

Pokémon came out just a bit too late for me the first time around, but now that I have an eight year old it’s a completely different story. And by eight year old I mean a small, human shaped walking, talking Pokédex.

Thank you for letting me know. That was a good read about Mike with a lot of stuff I’d never heard before.

There’s an appreciation post on Reddit with 3.2k upvotes and here on Kotaku people are having to find out via the comments. I can’t remember the last time I was so disappointed in a website.

It’s downright disrespectful at this point. They can’t even put up a quick post just to let people know. I get that it’s a holiday weekend but the fact that someone, maybe even the EIC of the site ffs, can’t take five minutes to write a post is disgusting.

They don’t have weekend staff but look at how many articles were posted this weekend. And yes, an actual farewell piece will take time to put together, but they could at least post something just to let readers know. Just a quick FYI for the people that didn’t follow him on Twitter.

I’m disappointed there hasn’t been a single word about it. Like I get if they have some far reaching thing in mind that it might take some time, but they could still post at least something to let people know. This feels disrespectful. He’s one of the main reasons I’ve been coming to this site for so long.

This is off topic.

That’s the absolute truth. It’s like Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop. I’m in the two percent of people that actually enjoyed it, but it seemed like half the people said it strayed too far from the source material and the other half said it was too similar therefore what was the point in making it.

I mean, you can just look at my icon/avatar to know that I agree.

The added accessibility features are awesome. Making people pay $70 for them is not.

I agree with you, that’s why I made sure to say “companies that are successful.” Companies that aren’t try and try again, usually never finding that magic formula that actually makes money.

This is ONE of the problems with live service games, and the companies that make them.

And I “will consider” buying a game from them again at some point in the future.

Somehow I could tell this was Spiders before the page even finished loading. You can tell they make games for themselves first, and I appreciate that

Telling people outside of your apparent ‘target audience’ that they’re stupid isn’t as great of a marketing campaign as all these studios apparently think
