The problem was that the GTO and G8 weren’t Pontiacs. They were rebadged Holdens, which also no longer exist. Would enough people care enough to buy a rebadged Camaro as a Firebird? Or a rebadged Impala as a Grand Prix? What other needs would it even serve, unless they make them have more power or offer hopped up…

I don’t think the term ‘slushbox’ can apply to modern transmissions now that they’re objectively better at being a transmission than anything a human could do. I would love a manual stinger as well but understand why they didn’t make it.
