Mako: Hey guys, there's a red-thingy moving toward the green-thingy…. Red-thingy moving toward the green-thingy. I think we're the green-thingy.

Oh! Good point! I won't live my life with regrets, then. :)
I don't know if Toph could really enjoy the lava bending. She wouldn't be able to see it. If she tried, she'd burn her feet.
My one regret in this episode is that we didn't get to see Zhu Li's face when Bolin showed and she realized that he (and Varrick) didn't die in the train explosion.
That would be so cool! It always kills me when that sword goes flying off — never to be found.
Hot steamy tea.
Thank you for the article. Your premise is interesting (which is why I clicked on it), but I don't agree with the conclusion that this character type is limiting. Most characters have their roots in some type of cliché — or else they break ground by reacting to an existing cliché.
I was thinking that, too. Or that it might be hard to use it when you have a dozen benders fighting with you that could accidentally fall into the lava field.
What I loved was how long it took him to rig up his contraption.
I re-watched Season Two, and I enjoyed it very much. Especially the family dynamics of Tenzin, his siblings, and his kids.
You can add Zhu Li to that list of awesome female characters (even if she's probably motivated by her devotion to Varrick).
I did, too. But I noticed that Bolin, Zhu Li, and Varrick were all in grey suits, while the Kuvira squad were in suits with green embellishments. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for there to be two different kinds of suits, but maybe Varrick grabbed some suits that hadn't been painted yet.
I noticed that.
I think that's the case. Zhu Li is acting on her own — but in doing so, she's emulating the sneaky Varrick. Shows that she's learned a thing or two from him.
It's obvious to me that Zhu Li is still on Team Varrick.
This is episode four, so we eight or nine episodes left. I don't think Korra is going to kick Kuvira's butt anytime soon.
The entire point of Meelo is to be annoy. I think any toddlers who watch the show see Meelo and think, "that kid's really immature."
China did have an Imperial government that ended when the six-year-old Xuantong Emperor abdicated, and the Republic of China was created.
Nobody has mentioned the camera work in this episode. I found it very distracting in a couple of the scenes, where the camera seemed to be moving around for no particular reason.
Yeah, that happy ending get weird when you try to apply any kind of realism to it. First, the health department would shut down that restaurant if they ever caught wind of the way people keep jumping on the tables and counters. But, bringing in a ton of dogs? Holy Health Code Violation, Batman!
