I thought that was a really weird reference. I don't think it was a call-out to South Park, but it immediately brought it up to my mind as well. I'm surprised that nobody mentioned to Colfer that Helen Keller: The Musical already existed.

Thanks!
Heh. That was a Poochie reference, right?
I really don't think Kurt was sincere. I thought he was overplaying how okay he was with the situation. And I think Blaine picked up on that, which is why he lied about the showcase.
Hehe. And that coat was so Great Depression!
I think the casting couch trope is coming with June and Blaine. Or, maybe a variation on that, because it's kind of a stereotype for older women to use young handsome men for arm candy without necessarily making them put out.
I think it's interesting that Rachel's paranoia about Santana exacerbated the situation tonight. If Santana had been understudying, then Sidney wouldn't have been so adamant about Rachel doing every single performance. He would have let Rachel take a night off — and there would have been no emergency and no problem…
Speaking of Kate Hudson, I was wishing that Sidney had thrown the name "Cassandra July" at Rachel, when he was yelling her out. Because, talk about a cautionary tale of what happens when you put your own ego before the show on Broadway…
I missed the reference to Fatty Arbuckle. What was it?
Omigod. Kurt can't spell!
The HIV thing was never an excuse. That wasn't the reason Trinity brought it up, and she never asked for the slightest break because of it.
I felt like marriage equality was the subtext for the show this week. It wasn't as in your face as past make-overs, like the vets with their stories about DADT, or the straight jocks exploring their "metrosexual" sides. What brought it home to me was RuPaul calling for everybody to say "love!", and Joslyn tearfully…
I'm pretty tired of the Klaine drama, too. Only, for me, it's the other way round. I wish Blaine would break up with Kurt, and stop letting his whole world revolve around what one person feels about him. It's not fair to either of them.
Plus, he's going to an art school. Girls could easily mistake him for being the sensitive artist type. Not that he isn't artistic, but he's more the sensitive artist with the heart of a horndog.
Maybe this is why Magnolia was so pissed about the cow print. She had been banking on a cow suit for animal kingdom — and her plans were ruined!
Look at it this way — nobody is ever going to forget Laganja.
My theory is that, after her bottom three placement in Episode Four, Darienne realized she needed a strategy to stay in the game. Then, after Dela's Snatch Game win, she (or a producer) came up with the idea of this rivalry. Which serves the purpose of keeping her on the show, while giving Dela an obstacle to work…
Me, too. I loved the jump from Blaine being all intense and in Elliot's face to the reverse shot, where you see that Elliot's got at least four inches on him. :)
What I think is weirder than Blaine getting put into the heteronormative visuals, is that Kurt never is — unless it's for a laugh. Like when he made out with Brittany, or audtioned for West Side Story with Rachel. I don't think they ever had a performance with Unique singing a romantic duet, either.
I really liked the scene between Starchild and Blaine. Especially the last bit, where Starchild said, "Why don't we just hang out?" I thought, "Yeah, I just want to watch these two people hang out for awhile." I was really disappointed that the show cut away from their Southern blues jamming.
