The Cardi B/Offset drama is about as scripted as an episode of Real Housewives. Can we just ignore them for a bit? Please?

I flat-out do not believe that any woman actually misses the act of performing oral sex on a man. Do not believe it.
Between the popular vote, his inauguration size & the number of indictments/charges pending and the overall effects of his Presidency on the economy, this is a dude who has A LOT of motivation to ignore hard numbers.
I think as long as you’re not parenting that hungover on a regular basis, your kid is going to be just fine. One day of a less-than-fully-engaged parent is not going to do any lasting damage.
And if prices were adjusted to pay staff better, they would be complaining about that.
Well, this one goes both ways. Teenagers are by and large huge assholes to everyone and that includes wait staff. They rarely know how to behave like normal humans and to top it off they don’t tip well, or at all. There’s not really much of a solution unless your restaurant has a required gratuity. You may have…
See, that’s my issue. These pricks who think they’re making some statement are just fucking over some hard-working student or single mom while patting themselves on the back for fighting the system. Of all courses of action to take to move away from tip based food service, that’s the most ineffective. That plus they…
It’s a myth that tipping results in better service. I’ve visited several countries where tipping is not the norm, and the service was just fine.
Maybe better, because as a woman dining alone, it wasn’t just assumed that I’m a bad tipper (I’m not!) and often ignored.
bosses don’t really like it when your service is poor, for any reason.
Jesus the comments on that other article. People will do anything in order to get out of tipping.
They won’t.

I was just writing a reply to the prior poster agreeing that BPD is challenging to deal with, but that anyone can learn skills to be a good friend/supporter of a person with BPD, which is something that those with BPD really need. (honestly, we all need community and love, but BPD people do, too).
The thing is that Davidson had tweeted something that sounded suicidal earlier in the day. Not letting him go on live television and in front of an audience was a wise decision. What would you be writing if he decided to kill himself on air and hundreds of people then decided to follow his example?
From what little research/literature I’ve read on BPD (definitely not claiming any expertise), patients reportedly are significantly more likely to talk about suicidal ideation/threaten suicide than they are to actually attempt it.
General professional opinion is that someone with BPD (not in recovery) isn’t functioning at a high enough level to manipulate, but certainly the *behavior* feels manipulative. Suicide threats in BPD can be a desperate attempt to maintain social connections and have needs met, since the person with BPD doesn’t have…
It all depends if the counter service place is using the exemptions to allow them to pay below min wage to staff. Unless your state forbids it, there is a reasonable chance you are stiffing the staff.
Management needs to be better attuned to the needs of the servers and just step in a bit.
