Excellent advice! It is so easy to get overwhelmed- there are so many instruments and indices and ratios, and everyone seems to have a conflicting opinion. It’s important to just go for it and realize that there isn’t one right answer, or one perfect solution. Do what you can with what you have, and learn as you go!

Saying, “stop it” is not rude or disrespectful. Sure, she didn’t go out of her way to be polite, but that doesn’t make it rude. She was just being direct. People could save themselves a lot of indignation if they stopped confusing directness for rudeness.
