This was a fantastic recap. Thoroughly enjoyed. Also, Scootaloo is one of my favorite things to say. I thought my four year old was making up the word. When I learned it was a given name, it somehow became more fun. Scootaloo!!

This is true. I work in REI and our BMI cutoff for treatment is 40. The physicians running these practices have absolute decision making and veto power over who gets treated and who doesn’t. Though I find the vast majority to be guided by ethics and to make judgement largely in clinical concerns and risks. I do think

I don’t want this to sound like I’m diminishing or demeaning your experience at all, certainly sounds like the delivery of all that was a bit skewed, and I’m glad your outcome was the desired one.

Oooo...I ate a ton of KFC mashed potatoes when pregnant with my first. She's also of the wired variety. Coincidence??

My (presence unconfirmed at the time) 4 week old fetus and I thoroughly enjoyed a very nice Phish show this past summer. He/she isn’t born yet, but I am confident it will be my most mellow kid

There's a risk kale might give you listeria. Better stick to cardboard.

10 years ago, yes. Not anymore though.

When I lived in Cincinnati (Kenwood), I listened to WLW during all hours of Reds and Bengals analysis and coverage, but couldn’t stomach even the Cunningham show intro

I read the shit out of those books back in the day. Sigh.

I see what you did there

Oh wow, fantastic! Thank you! I’m off to Amazon.

Tell me more about these things, please. My daughter would love both of them

Thanks. I’m going on the hunt then! The colors are amazing. I especially love the blues and purples on the last page of the book about the big city.

I just got my 4 year old a set of fashion plates. Mix and match the plates to create the outfit of your dreams, use the charcoal to make the impression/outline of your creation, then color in or add details to your design.

Congrats! Great list. I must refer back to this!

Oooo, yes! My little guy love the Little Blue Truck books! And I honestly enjoy reading them. Sweet and sing-songy.

This happened at Pitt? I’m a Pitt alum, but moved away from PA in 2004. I’m just trying to imagine hauling my ass down repeatedly from the umpteenth floor of Tower B.

Right on, movie soul sister!

Ooo...good advice. Love that show- I learned from him that as a potential landlord, you should try to scope out potential renters’ cars (for interior cleanliness)

You said this way better than I could. Cheers to putting my sentimental recall into words!
