Thirty years ago when my kids were skating and snowboarding part of the whole attraction of it for them was that it was distinct from ‘organized’ sports. Of course I now know that the entire purpose of modern culture is to monetize everything so I guess “fuck that cloud” is the only appropriate take.

People I know in Kentucky who have known him since his mysterious and abrupt departure from the army say otherwise. Not that it really matters-- I care more about his obstructionism, his disingenuousness, and his willingness to do anything to get and keep power than I do about his sexual proclivities.

The more I learn about this guy the more he sounds like Patrick Bateman, with a fastball instead of a trading desk. Being smart is more likely to be the cause of being an asshole than a defense against it.
