it appears to me the seat may have been removed and ended up on or under a parts stand something was being painted on, because in my experience that’s not overspray from spraying a door jamb. It’s more direct.

Paint thinners, then leather polish. Yeah they’ve done a shitty job, but I’ve oversprayed enough crap in my life (seats, phone, self) to know it’s not a massive problem to get a light dusting off.
