Yeah, weird that a guy who is into acting out “dub-con” (what a nice way to say rape!) scenes is violent and abusive toward women. What a complete shock.

Well I’m not exactly an avid watcher but I do notice that some actors and actresses are simply better at their jobs. For me I want to the parties involved to genuinely look like they’re enjoying themselves, and I don’t want obviously fake or absurd overacting.

Prior to these allegations, his repuatation was that of a generally cool and forward-thinking porn guy. He seemed very self-deprecating and like he had fun and didn’t take it all too seriously. I see the appeal in that.

After this stuff tho....nah.

As I remember he was billed as like a ‘good guy/feminist’ type as well and like ‘he makes the stuff that women want/it’s for women’

Glad I kept reading the thread because I thought I was the only Nosey Nancy thinking to myself “I just gotta ask ‘em what kind” but didn’t want to sound invasive.

Maybe it’s because I’m not an avid watcher that I don’t get the appeal (not just of him) in following any porn actor/actress.

dub-con fantasy

I like to see more of an actor because I find maybe 1-5 percent of porn stars attractive so if I like someone then I’ve found more stuff to enjoy which is a challenge.

He actually doesn’t get nearly as much work now as he used to, prior to the allegations. A LOT of his work was through Kink.com and they cut ties with him after everything came to light.

Robot porn??

SecondLife? (Just a guess... I’ve seen some pretty amazing stuff from there.)

In amateur erotica circles, James Deen is worshiped by a large number of women. I still don’t get it.

There’s probably multiple things with that. For one, it probably makes sense to try to get the signed releases back first rather then even open the door for anyone involved to claim they never signed one, or for Dean’s company to accuse the director of never obtaining them. It’s probably also potentially an issue to

Speaking as someone who used to watch a lot of his scenes, I can say that as a fan of submissive and dub-con fantasy he was a relatively good looking guy** to watch in those situations and that coupled with the “50 Shades” revolution where women decided they were into being thrown around and being humiliated it was

They signed during that brief window of time where it seemed like people in the industry cared about the fact that he was a rapist and sexual harasser. Now many of them are working in an industry that has made it abundantly clear that they don’t give a shit.

A reminder that people in the porn industry have been saying that James Deen is a rapist for years, but no one in the media would report the story:

Couple that with his reputation, and I don’t get how folks are comfortable working with him. ... But I do know that the industry is mostly male driven and run, so I’m guessing folks won’t cease working with him unless and until he rapes a dude on camera or there are rumors of that happening.

That’s not his real name.

I’m not surprised by this at all he seems like a scumbag and I hate that he’s got the same name as a very good actor.

Uh. Wow. Not sure how it could be more obvious That’s his rife besides being parked right at the bottom of the stairs and having the presidential seal on the door.
