I lived in Nuremburg and Wiesbaden. It was a cool experience and the people were nice. I’m glad you were able to meet some good folks in Manhattan.

I used to live in Germany for 6 years as my dad was in the military. Nazi jokes are crass and ridiculous. Sure, it was more recent than slavery but, to me, it’s akin to making slavemaster/slavery jokes to white folks in an effort to be “funny.”

This is the sad truth. While I get Bey’s encouragement, there are many other RELEVANT organizations to donate to like the Dream Defenders (I always give them a shout out because they do good work and I used to work with the founder. He’s a good man and the real deal.)

I have never been afraid of police. I’m a black woman from the Midwest. But I’m seriously afraid of them now. On related note, my 11 year old nephew learned that he was moving (just from the Midwest to the South but initially the though maybe they’d be moving out of the country) and his response to my sister was “I’m

I think it’s the open-ness of the space that causes anyone, esp children, to be THAT.MUCH.LOUDER in Ikea. Lol, I try to stay away as much as possible and am thankful that Ikea has a children’s section. It is a godsend!

I’m SUPER visual and the fact that there are little to no words in the instructions is soooo my thing. I don’t get the hate for Ikea. Sure, it’s not high end shit, but you can a lot with their pieces on a budget if you’re savvy enough with paint and a sander and have some time on your hands.

Genes and money and control over her to some degree. This man seems supremely psycho and probably shouldn’t have kids in the first place. This man is 40, presumably can have kids the old fashioned way and if not, has enough money that he and SOMEONE ELSE can explore their options (IVF, surrogacy, adoption, etc) The

I find that a lot of men who hate women (either openly or in more stealth ways) usually live off of them. Either their wives, girlfriends, grandmothers, moms, etc. I don’t get how they rationalize this...at all.

If she teamed up with him just one time for a summer track full of that old school, Miami bass and beat...Perfection. Someone on her team needs to make this happen in the most tasteful way possible (and then do a strip club remix that is not tasteful at all but banging as hell!).

Oh, he’s not at all embarrassed about wanting to do it. Thank goodness for that! But yeah, we told him that lots of players do dance and was more excited about it after.

I was super bummed when I found out about my lactose intolerance. I tried soy milk which has to be the devil’s piss it’s so gross. But, when I got unsweetened almond milk? Well, I knew there was a God. lol

Lol. We don’t know where we got him from. While he does football like all his uncles and cousins before him, he is seriously into dance (and CAN dance, which is rare for our family — despite being black #wecantalldance) and has a unexplained love of horses. For his 5th bday he wanted to see the movie Secretariat.

My nephew, who is a knockout football player (cornerback, running back and defensive back) is OBSESSED with dancing. His little self (he’s 11) has an instagram account where he follows all the young ladies he sees on dance shows (like the Australian one and the Lifetime dance series as well) and he follows some guy

    Are you serious????

    Um...ok. Lol

Yeah, no. Criticizing is fine. I’m not at all commenting on her criticisms. I’m asking WhereTF were those same criticisms for the BPD when they were severing spines and committing brutality against community members? And her criticism of the situation is not the issue. The issue is her LANGUAGE used to do so. It’s

The allowed me to say “no” to adults. Not in a “eff you” sassy type way. But, in situations where people wanted hugs or adults somehow did the awful thing some do where they pick on kids, they allowed me to express disdain without fear or retribution. I think of all the things they did, they empowered me to believe my

    We’re saying the same thing.

I totally agree with that statement.

And people should have. I do not disagree that language has power and I’l throw the same criticisms to anyone using the same rhetoric as the Mayor to speak about the protesters and rioters in this situation. I’ll admit that I’m not aware of all the things that have been said by public officials during this fiasco and
