You like the belt, huh? Well how will you like it when you're. . . . . . cold as ice?

How tall are you? I'm 6'5" and most of the time my knees are already painfully pressed against an unreclined seatback. I 100% guarantee that your inability to recline isn't even a fraction as "uncomfortable" as when someone reclines into my knees.

The issue with aluminum relative to steel won't be rigidity, it will be fatigue resistance. You actually want some compliance in a HD pickup to cope with the bigger insults from loads/terrain. The Corolla is one of the most well known names in the world. It's sold in nearly EVERY country. If not the Corolla, then the Land Cruiser definitely. I LOL at people who think it's the Mustang that's the most recognizable.

I think the point of his kid asking for the cigs is so they wouldn't get wet?

Oh, look, another butthurt person that can't stand the idea that people could be having fun with something.

I'll disagree a little. The frame of the truck is still steel. What we're talking about is aluminium body panels. As for rigidity, aluminium is pretty great. The only practical experience I have with it is in bikes, however with thin wall/wide diameter tubs aluminium is more rigid than steel and significantly lighter.
