Nope in america unless it’s a dire medical emergency or you are already miscarrying most hospitals don’t do abortions and only specific clinics can. It’s a huge PITA, especially since most insurances won’t cover abortion here either so it’s all OOP expense.

sorry a bunch of dummies hate you, keep up the good work

A lot of hospitals in the US are religious affiliated and do not provide abortions. The ones that do are DL about it for safety reasons. PP is literally the only place some people in the US know to go. I don’t even want to think of what would happen if they were gone. I hope we’re moving the way of the rest of the

I’ve discovered that both my grandmothers—one rich, one very poor—had multiple abortions as married women. In the 1920s it was a primary means of birth control. My guess is you scratch any family history you’ll find the same thing. I think it’s important to raise this legacy while confronting anti-abortion types:

My grandaunt didn’t die, but she was left infertile when she had an abortion in the late 40s. If there had been proper procedures available, she would have had children later on.

My mom was raped as a young woman. She got a very hush-hush abortion (it would have been the early 70's and her family was Catholic). Since I am an only child, I hate the argument “what if your mother had aborted you?” First of all, I wouldn’t know the difference?? Second, if my mother had not had that abortion, I may

In my parent’s house, there are framed photos of two very sad women. One is my great grandmother, who stopped speaking for 2 years when her daughter died after falling down a well. The other is my great great aunt, who died of a botched abortion when she was 17. It’s never been a family secret or a morality tale, just

It’s not uncommon for athletes to train/practice early in the morning before school or work. Even in highschool.

Come on! You’re really gonna pull that shit here???

Not that it matters, but off the top of my head if she’s a track runner, she may have gotten up early to get breakfast and then run before school, or vice versa. Or if this happened on the weekend she could be an early runner, or out with friends.

Right, that is the main concern. Not the assholes shooting up the joint.

Wow. Condolences to the Gay family. No parent should ever bury their child.

Um, I’ll be the asshole: that was terrible. Are we listening to the same thing? It was so blah— totally the antithesis of the original (or even a good local production).

Say what you want about Alex Trebek but hosting a game show is a great job.

They seem to equate it to sexual orientation privacy. They aren’t the same. Honestly, I don’t really want to see non Black people writing about stories like these. They aren’t equipped to do it. period. Here we have a case where a non Black person felt compelled to call the situation and didn’t even do any cursory

Soooo, lets talk for a second. Just because you’re black doesn’t mean you can’t support white supremacy. It isn’t a combo-breaker move so lets put that to rest. And to me if you have to trot out the fact that you are Black to excuse something or validate your point, it makes me pause. Not to say there aren’t

Not to mention that slur has been used by black people on other black people. So, this whole, “She can’t be racist. She’s black!” is a bit mute.

An Oreo is also offensive slang for a black person who is “white on the inside.” Usually reserved for someone who “acts white”, but even people who are part white get called this.

It makes Trump looks guilty.

Well, that clinches it. I won’t be voting for Bill Clinton in the 2016 election.
