I hate how (as far as I know) we don’t get any news in the US about how your prior president botched this whole thing. We just got (as far as I know) loads and loads of “Bring Back Our Girls” rhetoric without any sort of deeper dive into the government’s mishandling of this entire situation.

I wish there was a fund for people who suffer like this. She deserves nothing less than a lifetime of great therapy, a lifetime of relaxation and leisure.

Apparently her father died while she was in captivity, too. I’m so glad she’s been found alive, but I don’t even know if traumatized is even a strong enough word to describe what she likely is at this point. Those poor girls.

This disaster so embodies everything that drives me crazy about my country, Nigeria. The complete ineptitude of our prior president cannot be overstated in how this has been so botched.
