There was a This American Life on her, it’s a two parter and an excellent listen on the commute home (although some parts almost made me she hulk clean out of my car). http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives…

My boyfriend did the private catholic school thing and then a public magnet school. I’m not sure if it was my complete contrary nature that led to me willfully not knowing things, or if my public school sucked, but he is definitely smarter than me in academic matters.
This is actually a question they ask you before you’re allowed to complete the purchase of fishnets. You also can’t by bras in any other color than sad grandma beige.
I mean never mind that everyone responds to trauma differently, it’s not terribly uncommon for victims of sexual assault and rape to not immediately sign up to a convent.
The Mulaney bit is the first thing that came to mind for me. I hope he gets a cameo.
It it that or that you don’t get contact lenses in prison? Just genuinely curious, because I always thought that was what it was.
I had forgotten about that, and now i’m blushing at my desk. Get it Brienne!
I read it a couple years ago after I split from my husband. It was probably because of the situation I was in that I enjoyed the book. The beginning does suck, but the parts where she’s traveling I found enjoyable....and not so much her as the people she meets. That being said, I don’t like Julia Roberts and I gather…
You’re right, I got caught up in my irritation, he was found guilty. The judge giving him 6 months probation just feels so much like he’s saying that he shouldn’t even be held accountable, that he doesn’t feel the guy was in the wrong, and so we shouldn’t put him through any discomfort.
So even when you have two eye witnesses, that are male (because obviously all women will lie for another woman and there for are not to be trusted as witnesses *sarcasm*) and caught the guy in the act, they still won’t believe you. That’s nice. That’s really nice.
There is no private, not once you have a cat haha
That’s what it is I think, they just don’t want us making the decision for them by closing the door. Control freaks.
Oh she hates the bathroom door too. Just gets completely offended if you try to use the bathroom without her. She doesn’t even like people that much, but you better be ready to administer pets once you’re seated. She also get upset if you don’t put a towel down on the floor for her. Must be perfectly flat.
Fur baby heat output is a great bonus. My cat likes to sleep curled up next to my stomach, which both keeps me warm in the winter and helps soothe my cramps.
Two cats here. I tried the CIO with my oldest who is about like the Attila the Hun of cats. She shakes the bedroom door so hard that it sounds like some one is trying to break in. She doesn’t actually want to sleep in the bed most nights, she just doesn’t like the door closed.
No one is holding a gun to my head, but I can’t just up and quit this job with out another lined up. I don’t know how it is in other cities, but in mine the only other firm like where I am currently is also run by an asshole, just a different flavor. The other option left would be to go to an oil and gas internal…
I hate this mentality so much. Me coming in here everyday and shoveling my way through the mountain of shit left on my desk, but not wanting to stay late every night means I don’t care enough.
I agree with this 100%. I can not for the life of me understand why companies, especially creative companies, do not seem to get the picture. When I did admin work, if I was in a bad mood I could still do math, but I can’t design you an epic thing of epicness if I hate this place and think about burning it to the…
I work in a creative field for a medium sized graphics firm, and if you really want my opinion, strap in. I used to be in admin, but had a breakdown and got myself transferred to a development team. I will say that when I was in admin I was on call all day everyday, and it was significantly more stressful, but I was…
I want in on this.
