Renault did it in the UK, and some other markets. They gave up competing in segments they weren’t selling well in. That didn’t mean they gave up globally, just in some markets.

I kind of get in the US. The EcoSport, Escape, and Edge/Explorer will probably outsell their sedan counterparts with higher profit margins. Why

Came here to get angry about why there’s a CLA and an A-Class sedan. Duh, because the CLA is a coupe, and this is a sedan.

I remember being so bummed when they replaced that gen with the new one (as a kid). Overtime, I’ve grown fonder of the final-gen, but damn the fourth gen still looks good.

I feel the Prelude is too good for the world we live in. We don’t deserve it.

Back then it was a desirable FWD coupe, that was liked for its handling characteristics, and cutting-edge tech.

In the East? I don’t think so. I’d give the Pacers that. Oladipo vs the Cavs inability to contain was always going to be a death sentence. Not sure why people are shocked about it.

In the west, it was always going to be the Pelicans. Though I’d expected Davis’s individual greatness to carry them past the Blazers...not

Does anyone actually do road tests of obscure service vehicles like buses, and those airport things? I think this could lead to a whole new set of features on Jalopnik.

Have watched F1 my whole life, up until three years ago. The only time I ever thought it was exciting was when I was a little kid, and I got excited about seeing “Ferawis” on the TV.

This comment means nothing unless the M2 with the Competition Package is Laguna Seca Blue.

This reminds me of the time I “joined” (quotations because I didn’t become an official member, or ever go to a meet, I just joined the FB group, and some the members added me as a friend) the Peugeot 207 RC Club. They thought that very mediocre hot hatch was the best ever. They were butthurt when I took it to a Mini

Yet, IMO, Dodge makes one of the most characterful, interesting line-ups of cars on the market.

Someone who works at the company told me they’ve priced it and positioned it as low-end CT6/S-Class rival rather than an E-Class rival in the Middle East. I laughed at that, and then found out how much they cost here. Mind blown. Needless to say, they weren’t selling well until they were discounted very heavily.

Translation, we stand by what we built, and more is not always better.

Maybe I’m strange, but I completely disagree with that. A good buddy of mine bought an ATS with all the toys when they came out, and it’s one of the nicest interiors I’ve ever sat in.

I kind of agree with him. I don’t think being better, or even vastly better (and let’s be honest, cars are so good now, that vastly better isn’t an option, it’s a margins game) than the competition is enough for Cadillac anymore. It would take a catastrophic let-down from one of the major luxury manufactures to see

It’s pieces like this that keep me coming back to Jalopnik. No one else does stuff like this, and it’s what appeals to me the most. Thank you for a well thought-out, well-written, informative, and above all enjoyable piece.

I wanted to put these on my dad’s 90s Cressida SO bad.

First thing I thought when this was announced. It basically is JUST that.

Such a catch-22 for me. I WANT Honda to work out in F1 so bad. Yet, as a McLaren fan, it hurts to watch them use Honda powerplants.

Probably the last time I read F1 news, if I’m honest. Got kind of bored of it all after years...now I feel like I need to get up to speed again.

Oh what. I need to go get caught up on F1.
