Well, you could’ve said the thing about them building their own engines for road cars. Could’ve just as easily sourced them from a number of manufacturers the way Lotus, and a few others do.

That said, I think you’re still right about them not even thinking about getting into the game until the next major rule change.

This is a real shame. Given the history and heritage of the two brands, I held on for as long as I could believing that things would get better. Now I’m glad they’ve ended things with Honda. Now I’m waiting for the day when McLaren decides to build their own power plants. With a road car division sporting their own

I’ve been fantasizing about this car for years. In my head, it was called the 911X (because extreme, yo), and you could only buy it completely murdered out (because bad taste). It makes me so happy to see that infotainment system missing from the dash.

Once again, a car that wasn’t sold in the country I grew up in. I remember seeing it in C&D and R&T, and wondering why we couldn’t have cool cars like this.

That’s a great-looking line-up. Also, the Talon’s interior looks straight-up futuristic. When did interiors stop looking like that awesome?

Yeah, see that’s a real reason to have a new platform. The first-gen XF’s platform dated back to the S-Type, and while it was still good there was clearly a reason for an update.

True story. I had a Samba Green one as my first car. The roof broke twice in the year I had it (I had the awesomely unnecessary electric top), and once I finally had the roof working, my dad made me sell it promising me a new car because this one was so expensive to keep fixing (which it really wasn’t).

I ended up

There’s a few things wrong with that statement IMO (though I generally don’t disagree with killing the Scirocco in the state it was in currently), but I’m going to go with the thing that I really want to have a conversation about with anyone that will have one with me.

Why, do we see the need to have new platforms on

Man, Torch, like how are we not the same person? I keep seeing your stuff, and going, “Oh yeah, I’ve said that before” or “I totally agree with that.” If you’re ever in Dubai, I owe you a beer.

Strangely enough, they aren’t that expensive second-hand. My disappointment about it losing the V12 spurred me to look at second hand prices, and I was pleasantly surprised. I live in a country where I could easily bring one over...I might just do it.

Also, totally agree. You get this car or you don’t. It’s made for

That’s what I thought all cars would look like in the “future” as a kid. I now own an 86. Please sell me this hideous bodykit.

This bums me out a bit. I’m a HUGE fan of the Century, and would probably drop it on a Top 5 list of dream cars. Aesthetically, it looks great. Everything the Century has always been, yet tastefully modernized without becoming over the top.

However, the big news here is Japan’s only production V12, an engine that was

Soulmate?

Looking through this list pretty much summarizes why Steve Jobs never bothered listening to his customers. Y’all need to lay of the haterade.

So I’ve just learned I may be completely alone in this opinion, but I thought this gen Monte Carlo was cool. I think it’s handsome, restrained, and has aged well.

Now hear me out, I grew up in a town where any two doors were SPORTS CARS, and you were a real rebel for owning one. So us kids, we took what we got in terms

I’ve longed maintained this is my favorite Ferrari of all-time. Grand Touring Ferraris are the best of all worlds IMO. The 612 wasn’t as pretty, but eventually grew on me. I love the FF because of its eccentricity, but I wish they’d go back to a more classic GT mould. I know why they don’t...most people that were

Bringing together the cast from FnF & The Expendables? A movie about badasses stealing DVDs, armed to the 9s, dressed in black tank tops, and driving around Buick GNXs? Sign me up.

I remember I visited the US once at the the time these cars were on sale. I was fascinated by them because they were so far removed from what they called a 626 in the Middle East.

Interestingly enough, I just came across one of these yesterday after probably about a decade. It remember it looking “cheap,” but compared to a lot of modern metal, it looked...handsome & restrained.

I remember reading that the Sagaris was the ultimate expression of the design language they started with the Griffith 500. It was also the car’s replacement. It would only make sense that they pick up where they left off.
