It’s probably the biologist in me talking, but i hate when people says this kind of thing, is gross, freaky, ugly, etc. Nature is amazing and people mark it with those words all the time, like it was unnatural which by definition it’s not true.

This isn’t such a big deal - I don’t really care if their store is curated, as long as (unlike Apple) you can easily use whatever software you want with the device. Since the Rift isn’t its own platform, it shouldn’t be an issue.

This only seems like a problem if getting content from other sources is made annoying. They have a right to censor their own app store but you are not forced to only use apps from the app store. What is your issue? You have windows? Great, just install what ever you want and the software can support occulus. Who cares if their own app store is limited.

It’s not at all clear to me what these robo advisers are supposed to be useful for. Their websites push tax loss harvesting as a major advantage, but that just shifts the timing of the tax burden; it doesn’t change how much you pay in taxes overall. The timing of taxes also has no influence on compounded returns.

Going to a non-accredited, for-profit college. I just assumed everyone knew that those schools are a sham. I suppose that’s my fault for assuming.

I do hope the Dept. of Education invests at least as much money to educate high schoolers about ‘critical thinking’, the fallacies of ‘fast money’, or ‘for profit’ educational institutions... Now THAT would be money well invested.

As a current student at a public, state university, and someone who is $30k+ in debt so far, I’m not sure how I feel about this. Granted, I’ve not followed this story to know all the information, but it seems to me they made poor choices and are now being bailed out.
